Yes this has happened, the author of the MyPics email worm commented on his video, and he also commented on my old video where I also looked at the worm. He went into detail about how he made it and used code from the Melissa worm so I'm pretty sure he's the legitimate author.

Considering the sense of humor here, it's possible he didn't really _want_ it to be actually destructive. That said, force saving would definitely push the threat level a few notches up. But hey, he apparently drinks warm soda, so anything is possible.

i'm very glad you and others have been enjoying the regular upload schedule. it definitely helps to keep myself out of my head these days. i'm mainly revisiting some stuff I looked at briefly years ago but never delved into, or going through the list at random and poking around in the source/disassemblies/etc as I get more comfortable and familiar with doing that.

i've never had warm soda, but. it had to be like 7 years ago now. my mom was doing work in the backyard and had a Coke with her. she left it out in the sun longer than she thought and drank a bit of it warm. she still gets grossed out by it all these years later. i can't begin to fathom what she tasted and i never want to.
