How did you manage to convert gibberish text into Cyrillic?

@@amanguver Probably by looking up DOS codepage 437 (which is what danooct1 is most likely using here), reading the byte values for specified characters and looking up the same byte values for cyrilic charset. If the DOS shell displays gibberish characters, then it's most likely coming from Russian language or some other language using cyrilic charset DOS codepage. Most of these foreign viruses came from Russia, so I guess that's also what it targetted to be honest. If you want to look the cyrilic DOS charset, this is the codepage: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_page_866

Sadly, according to my father (No I am not kidding, he is very experienced with computers and I am not doing all that my dad works at X Gen Z jokes) there are 1000x more viruses than what people uncover, and he is very much correct.
