As in 2003 I accidentally damaged a pc with win98, I went into the system files out of curiosity until I found some strange screen protectors, like a haunted house and a variant of the labyrinth but of colors, a theme that simulated the interior of a pc and i placed it, but the start menu stopped working and there were no icons on the desktop, I couldn't access anything until they were formatted. Then I kept curious and activated the variant of the labyrinth, it showed fluorescent colors and in a moment it showed the image of a rat ... and it exploded. But I never knew if it was a virus or what kind of virus. I don't remember that. Another fact is that it did not have internet and all that was in the files.

Boy was it a long time ago to see new content from you! Nice to see you're back! D'you mind covering Win32.Nimda when you can? I remember that virus from the early 2000s. It drops itself on computers over the network and once a server got infected the Guest account would gain Enterprise Administrator privilages. There was nothing really fancy in its payload, but it most certainly could cause a fine old headache for those working in the IT department. My university's network was down for _days_ as they tried to get rid of it. The way you could see a computer had been infected was because a specific file had been dropped on either the root of the OS drive (usually C:\) or in \%windir% (usually C:\Windows or C:\WINNT - the virus only worked on Windows NT machines). FYI: "Enterprise Administrator" was the highest administrative role in Windows 2000 and up. It gave you Administratve privileges over basically the entire network, even if it consisted of more than one domain. _IF_ you ever do cover Nimda, please do so in an isolated network; virtualised if at all possible...!

He’s alive!!! Mwahahaha, in other news I had my own adventure, I’ve stayed up all night pulling teeth with my moms iPhone X 1-TB to move all her pictures off her phone. First I had to clear off 3.68 GB’s of storage to install a software update, then for the next 5 hours no joke I’ve been pulling pictures and videos off of it, she had 258GB’s of data or 10,689 files in photos saved from February 2017 to today. Here is where we stand at 8:30 am, it was running a super buggy version of IOS since November of 2019, iOS 13.1.64, and it made it near impossible to rescue these files, I’ve relearned the word technological patients with this one. It’s now running iOS 13.4.16 the most up to date version. I’m super tired but I will suffer sleeplessness long enough for this video. And I managed to get pictures off too

I have a feeling that the Barisada reference is a gamer's reference, though I'm not quite sure. I think it's part of something called Blade Crafter. Otherwise, only references I can dredge up are those to this virus itself.

Do you know something about the "Heaven Explorer" virus?It turns all of your icons into Question marks, and lets other kinds of viruses to infect your computer I was frustrated back in 2007-2008 that It cant be removed from a simple reformat as it somehow latches on the RAM(?) because when I tried swapping out another 256MB RAM at that time, the re-infection didnt occur anymore

That's simply not possible dude. Ram is not a persistent memory. You probably had some infected files stored in an external drive, and you got infected for the second time after formatting your computer.

sadly that reinfection isnt possible either, since I was dirt poor that I cant afford flash drives in the past. The only logical way I could get reinfected is from CD and Diskette drives, but I dont have blanks of those unless you could infect the Windows Installation Disc Anyways, it seems to activate whenever the time in your pc has "59". In short I had an whole hour to figure things out The virus wasnt that harmful by itself, until you connect the computer into the internet where it downloads all sorts of virus into the pc, and I didnt confirm if its methods of transferring is via mail or irc since I dont do much all of that before
