I love how the Mjolnir is the final nail on the coffin about trusting Vision or not. No one even questioned. Just awed at that. They all had seen that Mjolnir doesn't even flinch when someone isn't worthy, yet Vision lifted it with such naturality. That makes this moment quite effective.

Debates about the nature of the hammer are fun, but in the context of this story it's clear we are meant to intuit that Vision is worthy. There isn't a part of the mythos that distinguishes between organic or non-organic beings. The contention that it's about heart/soul and the contention that a being like Vision couldn't have one are ideas you bring into the story from your upbringing.

WandaVision was fabulous but it wasn’t the real Vision, now we actually have this one back but I recon the writers again won’t have a clue what they want to do with him going forward. Since Thor truly believes he’s the only one who can lift it, it likely doesn’t even cross his mind that this three-minute old life form may even try. The subtlety in those few moments is remarkable screenwriting and acting!

The best series of movies in my lifetime. Nothing will ever be as good in the realm of entertainment. I stopped after Spiderman: No Way Home and that I saw reluctantly. Endgame was just that for me. Probably not so much 'mysterious' as it is explained by like...code switching... Or smth? Depending on practice some people can lose accents over time. We can assume Wanda spoke her native language less and less as time progressed, particularly because im p sure no one else around her spoke it. And she was just young enough to have that vocal Flexibility. It's reasonable to assume she loses it. I mean yeah the turn around is quite quick but if you're consistently practicing to communicate in the native language of those around you on a daily basis that turn around can be extremely quick. I knew a kid in 5th grade who was a Haitian immigrant and came in midway through the year barely fluent and with a heavy accent. By years end his fluency and accent was indistinguishable from everyone else born and raised in the states. It's really remarkable how quickly humans can adapt, especially when they intend to, and Wanda likely fully intended to adapt.

As for a real world explanation; maybe Elizabeth Olsen felt weird about the accent, maybe had concerns about rudely appropriating another language for aesthetic purposes, and saught to have her character shed it as quickly as possible.

@@theonewhowrotethis5681 yes well, I watched a 'everything great about wandavision' and it brought to light this real good point; the more Wanda was in denial or being less herself, she would use a more American accent. But by the time she's gonna full evil she's fully immersing into herself, putting her feelings first-- her accent heavy with the language of her homeland, and heavier with the weight of her grief. So by the latest iteration I do think Elizabeth was making intentional choices with the way Wanda would use code switching, as one of many windows into her mind and how she was feeling!

They didn't know what to do with the character. They wrote endgame with infinity war instead of pacing themselves and creating a more logical sequel. Endgame was a very bloated sappy movie with lots of excessive fan service. It lacked the focus and strong plot points of Infinity War because they were trying to make a love letter movie instead of a sequel that matches the grandeur and epicness of Infinity War. It's like they spent all their money on Infinity War, and had $15 dollars left to make Endgame. That movie deserved so much better. Vision especially should have been brought back in Endgame. They could have went back in time and saved a version of him and given him some new core processor to replace the mind stone. Then use that stone with their time heist. But like I said, they were not focused on logic, they wanted the audience to be so distracted by overly emotional scenes that you ignored how illogical and unnecessary that movie was. RIP Vision

He took him from the cradle without warning, and so Vision acted on self defence. It could’ve been the Ultron in him attacking or Jarvis defending himself as he had already been attacked once. But once he saw his reflection that he wasn’t Ultron or Jarvis he relaxed so to speak. That’s why he says “that was odd” and apologises.

The Avengers 1 is a great film. The Avengers 3 and 4 are Marvel’s greatest and most ambitious project. But Ultron’s Era is in my opinion the blueprint of what the MCU was supposed to be. Every single avenger was perfect, believable, and integral. I remember this movie as I remember my high school years, when we were happy and didn’t know it. This movie was the peak of Marvel in quality.

Subtle sound hint, Vision lifting the hammer with such ease and a high pitched sound, while even Thor grabbing it with a small "thud" makes the hammer feel heavier for Thor than for Vision. Implying ofc that Vision is even MORE so worthy than Thor :D
