I spent the first 8 years of my life in Winnsboro, SC. It was great to be a kid in this town back then. I went back in 2006 to visit, and I was glad to see my town clock was still operational. It was a little disappointing to see how the downtown had not retained the charm of my youth. Hoping this little town will regain its footing now that Walmart has left. Wishing the current residents all the best!

Do not buy a house in the town limits without checking the monthly electric / gas bill. If its the city for electric & gas its approximately 3 times what the co op would charge. My friend pays around $900 a month for electric and gas. His mortgage is $1200. The electric costs too much!
