Although the cafe appears to be quiet, clean and peaceful, I do believe the owls are being well looked after, yet I personally prefer to see these winged creatures in the wild!

What a sad life these owls must live. Being poked and prodded for 6 hours a day, feeling anxious about people and other owls (smaller owls are often preyed upon by bigger ones in the wild). I doubt they have enough space in Akihabara to have an enriching environment to spend the rest of their time (like a large aviary for flying), especially as not many of these species can be housed together. So they probably stay in cages out the back the rest of the time. They deserve a better life.

Those owls are shackled to that bar..literally. What could be more dismal than their reality. They would never be hanging out..all lined up like that, and different species too. They are nocturnal and would not be awake in the daytime, and they are forced to live in an “owl cafe”, to be gawked over by humans getting pet..and while they are trying to sleep. They cannot move. They have no choices they can make at all…it’s worse than a zoo..much. They can not fly, they can sit and endure this day after day, being carried to one person or another…awful

After all aren't humans always going on about how they need their personal space.
