I know I'm very late but I found some info on this house. The name Evelyn found was Lee Beom Suk. He was a former prime minister in South Korea (also a dictator). I'm pretty sure he was alive/ruling during the 1900s. It just so happens that this house was also abandoned during the 1900s. Maybe it was his house or someone that was either supporting him or against him. You never know! Anyway hope this helps

There is also a haunted Korean place called Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital which is #1 on the list of “Top 10 most haunted places in Korea” and Yeongdeok House is number #3 Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital in South Korea is indeed a haunted place. Though it is a hospital, the haunted story behind this hospital is quite scary. Also, there is a movie based on this place named ”Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” that is completely based on the true story behind this haunted hospital in South Korea. Currently, this hospital is not in operation because of the frequent ghostly activities happening in the hospital. Before the hospital was built, there was a prison at this place. The place is haunted because hundreds of people in that prison died due to unknown reasons that were later found haunting local people.
