From my research I found from mid-May to mid-June the best opportunity to get the compositions I wanted. Definitely worth the trip to a very dark location. And the Xterra has served us very well so far.

Nice video. Enjoyed the shots of the river, canyons, and night sky, along with the narration. Strange question though, Do you only drive in the left lane on the interstate? And to answer your question, yes, it was worth the wait.
