This is amazing! Far from the Madding Crowd was the first book I read this year and I've absolutely fallen in love with Hardy. I watched the movie shortly after reading the book and I love it.

This was really enjoyable to watch. I always forget just how magical some parts of the UK are, even though I live there. I haven't watched the film yet but I just recently read the book for the first time. It was wonderful and I can't wait to read more Thomas Hardy books. :)

I actually live in a town where they filmed some of far from the madding crowd. A whole section of the street in front of our abbey was sectioned off and made to look really old and beautiful for a few weeks!

This is beautiful! I probably won't stop thinking about this all day! I'm currently reading Far From The Madding Crowd. I'm only in the beginning and haven't picked it up in a while but I plan on reading a lot this weekend because other things have just been getting in the way of time for reading, but not this weekend! I haven't read any Thomas Hardy before, but I also have Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I haven't seen the movie but I pre-ordered it on Amazon and it should be coming in the mail this week because it just came out on blu-ray and DVD here in America! I'm really excited to get further in the book and watch the movie!

Great video! I got hold of a kindle copy, so hoping to read it before seeing the film. I've also read The Mayor of Casterbridge by Hardy and would recommend that for the storyline and interesting symbolism throughout. 😀
