Hey friends! This vlog is a little more rustic than my normal ones (aka shaky filming like a grandma using a camcorder in the 90s) but alas I figured I’d throw it together rather than scrap it. This was in October/November 2021 btw😇

I am always fascinated by the fact that people from cold climates make it their goals in life to move out from those places. I am from Ankara (Turkey), which is considered to have cold winters, but it's almost the only thing about the city that I like. Maine and other northern states or northern countries like Canada, Norway, etc. look beautiful to me. I wish I had the freedom you have, Chelsea, to wake up some day and go live in a different country on a whim. I am not minimizing your bravery, though. It takes courage to move to a totally foreign country and learn the language and culture.

I wish there were consignment stores in Turkey too, I have so many things in good condition to get rid of and I'm sure there are many more like me...your sister looks lovely and I enjoyed watching this vlog a lot, thank you Chelsea ✨🌺

Thats completely true. For example, in our home we have so many gadgets that we really better get rid of. And Im sure there many people in need of these especially considering the financial crisis in Türkiye. I wish there were some thrift stores to donate all these items. [Actually sometimes I try to sell my stuff through LetGo but the problem is that it takes so much effort to find people, make an appointment and bring the stuff to people. As far as I saw from the video, the stores in the US are really big and people can donate their stuff easily. Why everything has to be so much difficult in Türkiye?] (sorry to write that long but I think it also helps save nature. So It is more important than we think)

@@crazykoala2289 because people focus so much on the needless, irrelevant issues that bring no good to anyone in Türkiye that they disregard the stuff that actually matters, functions and makes value, and it's a consumption society too, unfortunately. I agree that the online apps are not actually practical because of the process you mentioned, it's always better to buy stuff by actually seeing and trying it. You not only have to donate it but you can make money by selling your second-hand (high-end/in good condition) items in a store and the ones who buy it for a cheaper price will benefit too. It's an asset for people's budget and surely for the environment as you mentioned.

What part of Maine are you from? The Hannoford you went to looks a lot like the one in Gray (they all look the same anyway :d). Do you eat a lot of lobsters?

Maine mi? Maine kelimesini ne zaman görsem Trevanian'ın Kasaba kitabı geliyor aklıma. O kitapta başrol Maine kentiydi. O kadar güzel hissediyorsunuz ki şehri. İliklerinize kadar şehri hisseder, sokaklarında dolaşırsınız.

Dear Chelsea, there are many rumors about wearing shoes at home in America, but in this video I see that it is not so. Is this a rumor or is there some truth to it?
