Okinawa may not have been what you expected, but boy it seemed to be what you needed. Sometimes it's great to throw the "plan" out and experience a new "plan," just like you said. Spontaneity can lead to the best of times and the best of life. This is quite cool--I love how the beginning of this video deviates from your usual type. No formal introduction, just complete chaos right out of the gate and shows the great fun! You made new subs and friends on Mt. Fuji and even more subs and friends in Okinawa! What I really like about the beginning is how you interspersed videos with the two of you talking to us in the morning about the previous night. You found a great way to tell the story. Feels like we are with you reliving it together. (Like the "morning after the party" stories on your Croatia vacation videos--except you were the ones telling the stories of your experience!). I completely agree with you both--best foods are Mexican (or TexMex here in USA), Japanese, and Italian. (Can't think of how to combine Italian and Japanese, though--a parmi with rice? nah! 😂) Erin immediately knew about taco rice, and guess what she's gonna try and make this week! Can't wait! (Thanks for inspiring her!) Your description of Okinawa sounds wonderful--a melting pot of various cultures. You made it sound like a great place! Looking forward to seeing the beach videos soon--I really need those given the constant rain here in Florida of late (so much for the "Sunshine State" moniker this week; I expect, like you, we get "twitchy" when we don't see the sun for 3 or 4 days 🤪) All the best to you both and we'll see you on Sunday. Rob

Your journey in Okinawa feels so vivid and authentic! The way you soak in the local culture and showcase the true essence of a place is just heartwarming. Your video captures the island’s vibe and spirit so beautifully. It’s not just about the sights, but the vibes, the experiences, and the laughter, that make your vlogs so special. Truly an immersive experience for your viewers. It makes me want to pack my bags and head straight there! 🌴🎎🌺

Regarding on 昭和村(sho-wa-mura) and 村(mura) means a villege, but 昭和(sho-wa) is an era in Japan that started in 1926 all the way until 1989. We have many eras based on when/who our emperor is in power, and it'll have the same era name until an emperor decides to step down or passes away typically. Currently, we are in the 令和(reiwa) and 昭和 is 2 eras prior. I think the izakaya you visited is themed 昭和 era, reminiscing a good ol' time. Hope this helps!

Honestly, old people, cats and ceramics sounds like my kind of tiiiiime- hehe. My vision of Okinawa is heavily influenced by The Karate kid tbh. But look at you on that karaoke machine- viiibes of Okinawa. Love respectful rowdy times- looks great. James sass is giving me life- sarcasm seems to be his second language. Fibi, you are still not forgiven for hating crème brûlée….maybe Japanese custards are your redemption. The ‘sick transitions’ are giving chaotic vibes and I’m so here for it. The tasty crustacean sounds like the name of a dodgy comic book. That Mexican food looks phenomenal man….those desserts look craaazy… That just of cold brew would be the END of me. And keep going with the holiday feelings… can’t wait for next week❤

Konnichiwa! Seems you had an amazing karaoke party. That fish looks perfect, so super fresh. You’re right, Mexican and Japanese are in the top 3 cuisines of the world ❤. Dutch pancakes are actually overrated (yes I’m saying this as a Dutchie), so you didn’t miss out. Arrigato and have a wonderful day 🤙
