Man, watching you grow as a human has been the most rewarding thing to see as someone on the outside looking in. I remember the trolli skateboarding days. I remember the chin being busted. I remember the wrist brace. I remember the first pro model trucks. I remember the "garrett ginner vlogs" channel that lasted for one video. I remember the falkin files and the clothing brand(still have my first shirt i bought). Man i just remember little garrett out here working to complete every dream he ever had. And that is so special. I cannot lie when i say i am so happy to feel like i had a best friend to root on even though we don't properly know each other. Truely special. Keep this going. i can't wait for the "my first kid" or the "my wedding" videos. I hope there are still more like me who has watched for literally an entire decade, because you deserve the upmost encouragement. Keep killing it man!

Couldn’t agree more Dalton, I’m 22 now and have watched since the house in Santa Cruz with the mini ramp and Audi. Loved the centipede skateboard and watching you blossom and progress into a 2024 Garrett. You are an inspiration to so many more people than you think! Before this year I’d never run more than 5 miles, ran an 8k in March, half marathon in May and I’m running the original marathon from Marathon to Athens Greece in November! You can do anything you set your mind to. Thanks Garrett for the laughs and a virtual friend throughout the years, it really does feel like a long lost friend(:

@@ddevil4980 yea heard it all before, thing is Ive actually lived in a pretty diverse group of places in the US, including LA, and I can say unequivocally that the cost of living in LA reflects the opportunity and standards of living as compared to the rest of the country, pretty fairly. it cost a lot because there is a lot, and the same drawbacks would exist/ do exist in every single dense population cluster such as LA, except to a much worse extent, in other parts of the world. there isnt anywhere in the US that is quite like LA, maybe houston, but the crime is much worse in houston. the fact that pretty much all the best (and perhaps worst) elements of america culture come out of the west coast should be your first clue it has *something* going for it that makes it worth all the headaches.

LA works for a lot of people. It worked for me for years. I loved it, I enjoyed it, but my time has come to leave and I’m so excited. It’s always been a love/hate relationship with LA for me haha. I’m in a place where I’m able to live somewhere more remote, and because of that, I get to enjoy a lower cost of living. Some people thrive on that LA lifestyle though!

As someone who has gone through a very similar process as you, saying goodbye to your first home is definitely emotional. Our old neighbors sent us the ring video footage of the new owners celebrating as they entered the house. I thought it was sweet and I hope they are truly blessed and happy in that house. Life’s a trip. Looking forward to the continued changes you both make at the new place!
