I have a male and female holly I planted about 10 years ago here in zone 3-4. This is the first year one is covered in berries. It may be because we had 2 months of rain in the spring, I don't think I was watering it enough before. Really a gorgeous shrub with all the red berries that have lasted all these months. It is so perfect it doesn't look real!

Hi Robbie! I actually liked the square tin container with the terra cotta pots, but the terra cotta you picked for the bay tree looks really pretty, too. The foxtail fern looks so pretty there. It's always fun going shopping with you and Brent, and getting to see him in the videos. You both have beautiful smiles and it makes my day watching you two. Brent is a really god sport, and you messing with him was fun to watch. I'm glad you were able to go back and get the dwarf Alberta spruce, the three Sky Pencil Holly and Holly Tone. Hi Robbie. Your lion fountain bed is really shaping up nicely ! FYI foxtail fern (Asparagus meyeri ) is not botanically a fern, but an ornamental asparagus. Does not need the quantity of water that most actual ferns do. Also z9 Norcal here , and I water mine maybe once a week in summer-they do fine with that .

Im a believer in all pots should match its less cluttered looking to me when everything matches. You might like this idea I put my bio tones in those containers ment for cereal so I can sprinkle it out and not touch it. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃also I use holly tone on everything that is an evergreen.

I’m in Florida, 9a. We have had foxtail ferns at two different houses here in a south facing bed and have done fine with full sun from about noon til the sun moved to the west.

A little tip: do not let your Sky Pencil holly dry out. It is really bad at letting you know that it's thirsty. I can't tell you how many I see around here that look just dreadful because they aren't watered properly. The leaves turn brown, fall off and are bald in areas. The dropped leaves don't grow back. I am also 9a on Southeast. My foxtail fern is doing well in full southern exposure sun with no irritation. We do get a lot of rain though. I started with one in part shade with irrigation and it didn't thrive.

It's so different seeing the garden centre (British spelling of center!) full of flowers in bloom, In southern England there are primroses, cyclamen and not much else in late November. I love the Alberta Spruce, and found some the same size as yours for £20 ($25) (inc tax).

Fox tail can be grown in ground full sun. I have 2 in full sun during great. I’m in central CA.

I grow foxtail ferns in Zone 8a in containers and in the ground. I have the last few years. The ones in the ground I’m going leave for our winter to see if they come back. An experiment. Haha. We have mild winters in SC. So far they are good. But I can also have them out all season and dig them up to pot them for the winter if needed.

hi Robbie, hi BRENT, I finally got a Foxtail fern last summer. I kept it outside pretty much shade/a little bit of sun, and it did wonderful all our palm trees and summer trees and ferns going in a greenhouse that we pay for because we don’t have one over the winter I’m hoping it survives it is stunning. Other varieties of bay are hardy to lower zones, I have a topiary bay laurel outdoors year-round in Yorkshire, England Sky Pencil holly, like most evergreens, is slow growing (8ft at 20years)

I transplanted my Aberta spruce without gloves on. My hands were sticky with pitch afterward .So that was dumb .....Did you find yours was pitchy? Your neighbor kids will love your Godzilla deer 😄
