Hi ☀️ First I have to say - now I’m going to have to watch for you at Lowe’s here in Redding - and Wintour! But my husband and I are in Lowe’s sooooo much because we’re constantly doing projects to improve our property and house. Anyways! What about one of those trumpet vines up the power pole? There’s a HUGE one here in town growing wild on a power pole on Placer St and it is so beautiful! You don’t even notice that it is a power pole! Just a suggestion 🤷🏻♀️

I bet your gorgeous willow tree let out a sigh of relief when the pecan tree was removed. It looks even more glorious now with the open view. Your property keeps getting better and better! 🇨🇦

Bless those that skillfully work to take trees down - it's not as easy as it looks. Robbie, you must be so happy. I remember one of the first videos I ever watched of yours was about that tree and its drippings. It's a good day!!

Wohoo! The tree is gone, the tree is gone! 👏👏 happy dance. Now your garden can start to thrive in that area. Loving the evergreen additions. If nothing is attached to the pole any chance you can cut it down (with permission of course)?

That is the best news EVER!!! How awesome not to have to worry about Freya getting sick from the pecans. Question: have you investigated having an electrician coming out and disconnecting the wires from that pole? Then you can have a tree person cut that silly thing down.

You could always paint the rest of the pole a dark green so it could fade away a bit more

Hi Robbie! I'm so happy for you and Brent that the pecan tree is gone! Happy for Freya, too. Does the privet belong to the same neighbors? If so, is there a chance that they will eventually have it removed, too? That would be so nice. I like where you planted the Alberta Spruce, and where you moved the lilac to. It's amazing that you still have so much beautiful color in your gardens. Thank you so much for sharing!

What a great day. The plants you put in the ground will do wonderfully. But the cherry on top of the year for your garden was the removal of the Pecan tree.

I used to have a nice big pecan tree behind my garage. I loved it. Lots of shade. Then the electric company showed up one day and said it had to go. Totally changed that side of the yard and not for the better. I have not had any luck with Alberta spruce in my yard. I had three that were perfect for about 5 years then we got an extremely hot summer and all three died in spite of my watering them lots. I tried another in the backyard recently. It was beautiful for two years and then this year up and died again in spite of my care. Everything else survived the summer but it. I won’t try again. Your garden gets prettier and prettier all the time. So enjoy your videos.

Robbie I can feel your excitement❤Have you ever thought about painting the pole black as high as you can. It would disappear into the landscape.

Yay, the pecan tree is no more! I was cracking up this morning because i bought the tapered candles you showed us and realized that they had turned on this morning and couldn't understand why. Then, as I reached for the candle remote to turn them off, your video became Kate's, from Hello Garden's, video. Yea, both remotes for my Fire TV and the candles must be on the same frequency. Crazy! Now I know why they were on during the night, they had turned on when I turned off my TV. I was relieved to figure out that I'm not losing my mind, yet😂

I’m so happy your neighbor took out the pecan tree. As you’re adding evergreen interest to your garden, have you considered planting an Italian Cypress tree in front of the telephone pole?
@LynnSargent-xx5ei2 күн бұрын
So happy for you that the troublesome tree is GONE! Great neighbors are a blessing. I do have a question about the pole, I know you’ve said it is too expensive to remove, but what about cutting it off to the height of the fence where it is painted black? Then maybe put a trellis on it for a climbing rose or something else? Thanks so much for your vids, I always feel like I’m spending time with a friend while watching.

Glad that tree is gone so you can utilize more of your property. The evergreen is very nice but please straighten it. The alliums will be so nice when they bloom, I just love how different they are. Productive day Robbie. Have a great day.

Hi Robbie, what do you think about planting a Blue Arrow juniper or Italian Cypress in front of the electric pole. They stay skinny, but get super tall and is a perfect way to hide the pole.

So happy for you and your garden, especially the willow, with the tree gone. Would you get in trouble if you painted the rest of the pole black? Doesn't look like there are wires running to it. Too bad you can't at least cut the top part off if you can't have it removed.
