Just a few months ago my sister Kaelani was all clear. She had her first surgery for cancer removal and it was a success. Until just a few months ago she noticed some bleeding and went in for testing. Turns out she has a very fast moving clear cell cervical cancer. She we be getting a hysterectomy by the end of the month so currently she is on hormone treatment to try and retrieve a few eggs so in the future she will be able to start a family. We have created a go fund me as these expenses are extremely expensive and with out the funds they won't be able to move forward with egg retrieval and storage. We are asking for help. Something she didn't want to do until she had her latest call with her oncology dr to confirm surgery is the best option.

I’m a doctor. I recommend my patients talk to their OB-Gyn in a “get to know you” appointment before their pap if they are trauma survivor. You could even ask for a Valium to take before the appointment and have someone drive you. I’m glad you are going to take charge of your health, I know how hard it can be but you can do it, you are a survivor.

Im so sorry you are going through all this . I went through 6 years of fertility treatments only to find out i have lupus and there was no way to carry a baby to full term. My advice to you and your partner is to talk to each other because they are going throough it with us. Keep your chin up and kick cancer in the butt.

Kaelani I am 23 years clean from breast cancer. The radiologist told me I would probably die from the cancer that it was all through my body. I fired him. I just turned 73. I was first diagnosed in my mid 20's. Same thing, HPV negative and born way after the 70's, very few partners, etc. I had multiple surgeries and chemo, then finally a total hysterectomy. I have been free and clear since the hysterectomy and I feel so much better internally, so please know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
