Rode the demo yesterday purely by chance . Hit 80 mph on motorway easy for overtaking I'm happy with a cruising speed of 70mph I ride within the speed limits after doing 4 speed awareness courses over the years . I thought it was exceptional ,very smooth . When I got back on my Bullet 500 it was like driving a tractor . Put an order in for the Meteor then told the Wife things are very quiet in the house. Wish I had ordered one earlier.

Just purchased a 2022 Meteor Supernova a month ago. I hadn’t ridden a motorcycle for 22 years, the first ride, as you could imagine, was a wee bit hairy, but, I soon was riding like I use to. What a great bike, for someone getting back to riding or, a new rider after passing the test, maybe a second bike. I think that this Meteor could appeal to anyone from 18 - 80 years of age. I’m 77 and still getting a huge smile every time I go for ride on this lovely machine. Well done Royal Enfield.

Great, honest review. I soon bought this bike in supernova blue as in your review. It's been 30 years since my last bike and I'm having a blast on this Royal Enfield. I'd encourage any returning motorcyclists to test ride this bike as it's a great bike to return to motorcycling with. It's a 350 single but sitting on it feels like a much bigger bike, weight is not too light, bike feels planted. If your not on dual carriageway much, can't see why you'd want anything more than this wee belter.

Not sure of your budget but I'd suggest as a DAS license holder youd soon tire of the 20 odd BHP power output which is only marginally more than the restricted 125cc power ceiling. Very few riders here in the US will accept that speed limit of 71 mph. _(We regularly do 80 and 85 mph on various freeway stretches. And almost every commuter car can reach a max. speed of 110 mph.)_ This bike would have a chance in the US, if the speed limit were upped to 100 mph. But the current engine _(narrow, long bore, push-rod single cylinder 350 cc)_ cannot be modified to provide the necessary power. And possibly the retro design, manufacturing tolerances and current level of equipment (brakes, shocks, etc.) may not handle 100 mph safely. In any case this design is targeted towards India where 70 mph seems ample. The US motorbike market is a tiny fraction of the Indian market.
@pankajsaikia19863 жыл бұрын
Yes, here in India, in city road speed limit for bike is only 40kmph. While in highway or freeway it's not more then 100-120kmph. I myself ride a Yamaha 150CC bike top speed if 118 kmph.
