I guess KZbin reads minds and also has the best recommendations.... i couldn't really follow rhythm until this channel. This is a awesome video, i played along, specially the second part, and my confidence rocketed to the sky. Great, great, great material for school, for music lessons, for every individual who wants to improve. Thank you immensely!

I've only just found this set of videos, very useful as I'm struggling a bit with reading music. I have 2 questions, not sure if you'll even see them, but maybe someone can answer them - how do you represent 1) a sixteenth note followed by a dotted eighth note, and 2) a sixteenth note followed by an eighth note followed by a sixteenth note? Maybe you showed us, but I somehow missed it.

I forgot to ask about triplets as well

Hey, hopefully this summer I can make an advanced series that deal with these rhythms. It's hard to explain them here without pictures, but if you're interested in how they sound, I do have a syncopation video with papayas. It uses a single 8th note followed by a quarter note and another 8th, and that's basically the same relationship as a 16th followed by an 8th and then another 16th. - they play the same rhythm just twice as fast.

What program did you use to create this?
@VisualMusicalMinds7 жыл бұрын
I used Adobe Animate for the most part to create the notes and to make them follow the music, but for this one I also used Adobe Premiere Pro to stick a little video of me playing off to the side. If you're interested in this sort of stuff, I'd highly recommend the adobe creative cloud- it's a subscription service, but they give educational discounts, and it will give you all the programs you need.

I like these a lot and hope to use them as I teach remotely during Covid 19 social distancing. May I request correction of 2 errors? 1) An 8th rest = 1/2 beat and 2) "dotted" is misspelled as "doted". Also, it would probably be more accurate to say "a dotted quarter note is 1 macrobeat in 6/8 time" however this is probably confusing without further explanation. Maybe you should just skip an explanation of the dotted quarter and let us feel it as a beat. Regardless - I still plan to send this out as a family rhythm activity!

I have some other stuff sort of like this. I really like the music to this one though, the other videos look better, but less awesome music. Here are some other rhythm videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aojKhmR4g99og5o kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqe9ZqCim7-fnc0
