I had this drone for a while did not really fly much , did enjoy it for a day or 2 , did not like that it would just suddenly fall of the sky , broke a motor mount had to replace it . I brought a Eachine x5 like that one much better . Thanks for the review

Thanks for reviewing, just received my 812 today and own an 809. The 812's batteries are roughly 1/4 " taller and not compatible, the so called prop guards are the same [ just dont bump anything], props and motors seem compatible. the prop drive gear cover nice upgrade, as well as the detachable 1080p camera, great new look styling wise. Charging batteries, looking forward to the new gps feature....

Yes, it is 1080p... and I know this because the output files on the SD card had a resolution of 1920 x 1080...

About 200 - 300 m The transmitter will start beeping once the drone starts traveling out of range. Also, the drone should do a return-to-home if it flies out of range or connection with the transmitter…

propeller are clearly visible in the both upper corner of the drone video , when camera is in horizontal position . how to avoid it , or it is unavoidable in that camera position ?

The camera is manually tiltable (prior to takeoff)… So it is possible to tilt it at an angle where the propellers are not visible… But yes, tilting the camera all the way up will definitely show the propellers…

I just checked it out, and although I could not find how to disable the GPS feature, I did notice that it will allow me to start the motors at any time (with or without GPS lock) so it is possible to fly it indoors, but it may not be recommended (as the return-to-home may activate if it gets low on battery)…

Not necessarily… Mainly the first time you fly at a new location or if you take-off and notice the drone flying a bit erratic (it is a good idea to quickly landed and re-calibrate)…

Hey I know it's been a year but I saw that the drone needs 5g wifi to fly with FPV and unfortunately my phone does not support 5g wifi and I was sorta bummed that I could not use FPV...so would you still recommend buying this drone or is there any other drones similar to this one that would not have to use 5g wifi. Excellent question, I plan to do a video comparison of both (as they are very similar)… It’s a very tough decision… One factor to account for is that this one doesn’t require FAA registration while the other one technically might (since it’s a little heavier)… also the other one has a very wide angle lens camera while this one doesn’t. The Visuo has a bit more flight time, but less power (at 3.7v vs 7.4v). This one has a larger, well-labeled transmitter, while the other one is smaller & looks like a DJI controller. This one may have a bit more range. I plan to analyze them a bit closer & make a final comparison video...

I don't know if this is a dumbass question but I don't know anything about them . Can you get goggles to use with it what frequency? I see it's .2.4 control and the goggles I see are 4.8 am I looking at the wrong spec. Any answer would be appreciated .

With drones that stream to a mobile device or phone (using an app), they typically use 2.4Ghz or 5G WiFi and can use those hollow "phone VR headsets" to place the phone and view FPV, but generally the experience with those is not too good (due to high latency, lag, interference, & short range). Then there are those 5.8Ghz racing drones which use special 5.8Ghz goggles (ie. Fat Sharks, Eachine EV800's, etc). Those tend to be more precise and have low latency, lag, & generally have a clearer image (to accurately fly your drone and navigate it through obstacles). Also, some docile GPS camera drones use 5.8Ghz as well (such as the Hubsan H501S, UpAir One, Wingsland Scarlet Minivet, Xiaomi Fimi A3, etc). Then there are also some proprietary video streaming systems/frequencies used (such as Ocusync from Dji, etc). The most common video streaming system/frequency used are those standard 2.4Ghz WiFi streaming toy & hobby drones. For basic filming, 2.4Ghz WiFi should be sufficient. But if performing some dynamic, high-speed FPV racing...5.8Ghz is the way to go.

The video feed looks very good without jello and choppy effects so visuo had made a good adjustments on the camera support unlike the previius models. I have seen in some online stores that this model has a 5MP camera but still in the pre order status...hopefully you can make a review with that to see the much much better video feed but this looks great already how much more with the 5MP which cost about only $8-$10 more...

I have noticed that this quad have been installed a cover on the gears below the props. Its a good upgrade from the previous models to protect the gears. I think with only one gps satellite signal can not maintain s steady signal on the features like the gps positioning to accurately maintain altitude hold, followme, waypoints RTH accuracy and orbiting...what do you think of the range of the transmitter...does it reach the 200m range same as the wifi 5G on the app?

Hey I'm not 100% sure if this new one will do it but on the battle sharp if you press the emergency button on take off it will start the motors give it a try have a good day. If I could just get the flight board the GPS and the radio I could turn my back into the same bird there's nothing different about this except I think the company that made the flight control board is a different company it's possible it might even be autopilot flight control board who knows.

Keeping the emergency button pressed doesn’t seem to activate the motors on this one… I do believe the board on this one is probably different than the Battle Sharks… Each quadcopter uses a different app and a different binding protocol for its transmitter… So the differences are enough to suspect that most of the components on this one are newer/different than the previous...

Yes, it is the 5 mp 1080p model. I think this is an excellent drone… Visuo makes good quality performance drones… This one has an excellent price, good range, good camera quality, out-of-range and low-voltage alarms, waypoints, follow-me, and plenty of great features at such a price…

Great question, that’s a tough one… They are both excellent quadcopters… This one has a longer flight time and can come with up to 3 batteries, while the S20W has a bit further range… This one looks more like a Mavic, while the other resembles a Phantom… It’s tough, but in the end I’ll probably pick this one as it has two-way controller feedback (with beeps) and is a little more discrete (by being foldable, more compact, and a bit sleeker)…

You can still fly this drone and use many of its important features (such as taking pictures, recording video, using GPS return-to-home, etc). The only real loss will be not having the live video feed (FPV), but aside from that, you should be able to still fly and use all the main features of the drone (without even having a phone)...

Strange, if it works with the Bugs 5W, it should work with this drone… Try shutting everything off and attempt again... if it still doesn’t work, you may have a defective unit that may have to be returned or exchanged…

Yes… You can try testing it with some other mobile device or phone to see if it works, but yes this drone requires a 5G Wi-Fi compatible phone… Perhaps you can find an inexpensive or used tablet or mobile device online that supports 5G that you can use with this drone…
