I made something similar like this for stick pc years ago (probably in 2017-2018) before handheld pc existed. It was working but 3d printing was so shty so I gave up finishing the enclosure. Good luck, mate.

There are tons of schematic for charger module, ps4 controller, screen on pcbway. that you can easily integrating in one board. This probably cost less 50 buck without screen, battery, and ps4 controller donor. Actually I kinda wanna try it myself

Soldering isn't that hard. It's intimidating because you never try it, I assume. I wish I bought them all when it was 25 dollar on clearance
