I want to give you an updated protocol for someone who can't sleep (due to adrenal fatigue): Take before bed (1 hour): Pantethine (roughly 1000-1200mg), zinc (20mg - my Trace Minerals work good), B1 (take 2 of my Nutritional Yeast), and D3 (10,000 IU). And if needed add, 3 of my Sleep Aid (regular) for people who have a real low quality sleep. Wind down from 8:30 (dim lights) and attempt to sleep at 9:30. I will also attach the zinc/sleep connection in the description soon.

True.. One of the potential benefits of vitamin B5 is that it may help improve mental health, due to the potential ability of this vitamin to regulate the production of some hormones in the body, whose imbalance may play a role in the emergence of some mental disorders. Take B5 to halt hair loss🤔 I have been following Dr Berg’s excellent videos for some time now. After doing a bit of medical detective work, I strongly suspected I was suffering from some sort of adrenal dysfunction. Following this particular video, I started taking vitamin B5 along with the other vitamins I was already taking - B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D3 and K2 and omega 3 for my bad knee, zinc and magnesium. Since supplementing about 6 months ago, I have experienced a gradual overall improvement so I wasn’t expecting anything earth shattering by adding vitamin B5. I’m now in my late 50’s😩 and until recently had thick, wavy, dark hair that was (cheap) quick and easy to manage. During the last few years I was noticing increased hairs in the bath, shower, brush, on the carpet and in the cooking! I was cleaning the shower trap cover twice a week compared to once a month previously. And it was depressingly noticeable - my thick hair was becoming thin hair. Interestingly, it also happened to my Mum at the same age who resorted to permanently wearing a bandana to conceal her hair loss and I was fearful the same fate awaited me. After about 3-4 weeks of taking B5 I noticed I hadn’t emptied the shower trap cover. Incase it was faulty, I took a look and it wasn’t clogged with long dark hair as usual🤔. This is odd, I thought. As I’m working on improving my health, I keep a health diary where I record what supplements I take etc. So I looked back and the only recent change was the addition of B5. Therefore, the logical conclusion would be that B5 was somehow responsible for the decrease in hair loss🤔 When I starting taking B5, I was unaware of the adrenal gland’s potential involvement in hair loss due to reduced hormones. What a pleasant surprise it was to discover this first hand. So, if you suffer from hair loss and adrenal fatigue/insufficiency - taking B5 could really help. I wanted to share this as I know how distressing hair loss can be to both women and men😊

Your adrenals do not rely Only on B5 for optimal function. Below are the key micronutrients adrenals thrive on. Very few are aware of the importance of potassium for adrenal health. Instead of single supp., have a low carb diet rich in variety of lean proteins, non-starchy vegetables, citrus fruits like Cherries, berries and heaithy fats to boost adrenal health. Focus on quality sleep *sleep depth, nit duration), daily excersise, weekly massages, cold/hot showers and a routine to minimize adrenal issues. If you keep your insulin, blood glucose in moderate range you will Not have many adrenal issues. 1. Vit C 2. Citrus Bioflavonoids 3. Vit B6 4. Vit B5 5. Vit B3 6. Vit B12 7. Vit B1 8. Zinc 9. Greetings from Singapore. Thanks for this Doctor Berg. I am going to add 1,000mg B5 to my supplement stack right away to help with sleep along with sub-lingual and extended release melatonin. I am 67 years old and male. I used to have a hard time falling asleep but melatonin and afternoon meditation of 30 to 50 minutes has mostly solved that problem. I do find that I wake up during the night more often than I would like. Regular aerobic exercise 3 or 4 times a week is also helpful. If I don't do this I find that I start to gradually slip into mild depression which feeds into the early morning wake ups. I guess I must be addicted to the endorphins and dopamine of exercise. Thanks again !

I have been struggling with excessive grogginess that went away when I either lied down in my bed or in the evenings on its own since January of this year. I thought it was because I was sleeping excessively and tried cutting down my sleep by an hour. It helped slightly, but still felt groggy and unable to concentrate. I decided to take a B complex three days ago and by day 2 my grogginess went away. I would have loved to have this information last year in March. I went through a horrible bout of anxiety attacks that would wake me up in the middle of the night with a racing heart. I wasn't able to sleep for almost a week. Ended up at urgent care to get a shot to help me sleep because I felt I was going crazy.
@kenferrara3 жыл бұрын
I had to laugh. I have had severe adrenal exhaustion, resulting in losing more and more of my energy for years. (I turned 70 this year) In the last 10 years it’s gotten really bad to the degree where I feel exhausted all the time. Resulting in my needing a tremendous amount of sleep or rest. As a result I’m not able to get hardly anything done. I woke up way too early, this morning and I couldn’t go back to sleep. Sometimes when that happens I watch KZbin videos, on my iPad, or movies, hoping that I will fall asleep again. So, I opened up my iPad. I’ve got alerts set to show on my desktop for Dr Berg videos. And there are on the top of my screen was your video about adrenals, Vitamin B five and sleep… I had to laugh. I have assumed and I was told by practitioners that my severe exhaustion was because of depleted adrenals due to years of terrible diet and a tremendous amount of daily coffee and sugar. And, in earlier years, cigarettes also. The last time I couldn’t go back to sleep, I found the Dr Berg videos on sugar. I’ve been told to cut out sugar for years and I thought I had done so. But from the sugar video I learned that almost any sugar or snacks in between meals was bad. And my habit was to cut out all sugar, for a week or two, but then I start to feel a little bit better so I’d have a couple desserts and basically start the dwindling spiral of my energy draining again. Also, I’m not a drinker but I have had an occasional drink, maybe once or twice a week. And that also, coupled with a few desserts… My diet was so bad, always. I saw, at the bottom of one of your videos that there were consultants I could call. So I called up and a patient woman named Sarah listened… So I took her advice and ordered your trace minerals, nutritional yeast, and your green stuff (because I hardly ever eat vegetables) This is the first time for years I’ve had any hope of handling my severe depletion of energy and activity. Now, I have been experiencing some periods of energy… But then I get very enthusiastic and burn out the adrenals again… but it seems to be gradually working. The other part of the puzzle is being about 40 pounds overweight and a bloated stomach area. And seeming to need very little food compared to the portions you get in restaurants and as a result constantly over eating. Or eating till I was uncomfortable. So I started to cut down and to eat relatively very small portions. That’s the only way I don’t get uncomfortable and feel really bloated. So, I’m hoping that purchasing your Pantethine will help with the sleep problems and now and I will order that shortly. It’s not totally handled yet but… I’ll continue listening to the videos… There’s a lot of words I don’t understand but you are simplifying the subject of nutrition for me which has always been completely confusing. Thanks for this.

In addition to that I would also add bile salts as well. Just review dr bergs video on stomach acid and bloating. There are a few of them. I also recently discovered that walnuts are high in melatonin. If I wake up in the middle of the night and can't return to sleep I eat a handful of them

So Dr Berg, if I took everything you talk about that is good for us, I'd have no room for food and I'd be broke so my question is, what should a person take daily for good health, the few most best things?

I’ve noticed an increase in dreams when taking B5 Pantethine (active form) and pantothenic acid. I take both to help lower triglyceride and cholesterol. And B5 combo really helps with alertness during the day while working on computer. Im thinking of also adding a low dose multi B vitamin to keep B’s balanced.

Go to Sukie Baxter’s channel. She has Vagal nerve exercises that have helped me immensely. Also, watch the various videos about polyvagal theory. It makes sense that we have a system in place thanks to evolution to help us deal with threats to our safety. Our modern life is filled with perceived threats not actual threats. We worry and become anxious and our cortisol becomes elevated. Resetting our vagal nerve, using exercise (I take long walks) and recognizing our anxiety triggers can put things back into perspective so we can relax and sleep. Also, Therapy in a Nutshell is a fantastic channel. It has helped me deal with my husband’s sudden death and all the anxiety and panic it caused. Lastly, I swear by magnesium citrate! I take 250 mg in the morning and again before bed. Bless you now and always.

Going on my 4th day of water fasting hopefully I can get to my goal of 21-42 days I’ve done fasting before and have reach 21 days last year thank you very much for the information on what vitamins to take while doing fasting. Last years results was 25 lbs of lost weight and the disappearance of route canal which was my target. I didn’t know where I went wrong cause I hit my 20-21 days up in the sky for I was traveling overseas on a plane which gave me or so I think gave me edema or retaining water on my legs but overall I was happy in saving my tooth it healed and never did a route canal
