Ayoade is definitely one of the best hosts, possibly the best. He's so quick. Really seemed much improved with the real audience; it's like Paul woke up from hibernation. I was waiting to see if they could get through a show without saying Donald Trump, but it's not happened so far this season. Had my first covid vaccine shot today and I feel like crap, so sitting in bed watching this was a real highlight. Made me feel much better. Thanks.

Richard Ayoade! Novosibirsk is Russia’s 3rd largest city! I once had a fling with a girl from there and she was outraged that I had never heard of it either. She was a student of physical chemistry and let me play with her supply of liquid nitrogen. But she quit to become a consultant for men’s fashion and went back to Novosibirsk. Such is ambition, and the bumpy road of love.

You have to admit... most people didn't expect a pandemic before and therefore didn't seek out the education and skills required to deal with one. Now people are scrambling to develop the needed skills to deal with such situations. From the rise in the baking of homemade bread to the rise in people seeking education in caring for loved ones damaged by illness, hopefully our society will begin to prepare for the things that scientists tell us are bound to happen. Of course, at least one third of Americans will deny that anything CAN happen and then blame other races when they do, but then they've always done that. We've started calling them "tRumpublicans" in the USA and we sane Americans apologize to the world for them.
@gladtobeangry3 жыл бұрын
@@gracebellamy586 no need to apologize for people who don't want to listen to reason. I feel for sane Americans. We have nutcases too here in Holland, but here they're like 10, 15 percent of the people, instead of nearly 50 percent. I can't imagine having to deal with 1 in 2 people being a racist conspiracy theorist while trying to fight a pandemic

I suspect few, if any, on this panel have ever planted a tree. If they had, they would know that it's inadvisable to use the same dirt as came from the original hole to nurture a new tree. They might also know that the color of that dirt makes it very clear that it is of such quality that it is unlikely to have been dug up from a random spot in the ground. Loath as I am to defend the royal family, the Queen's question was perfectly reasonable, the answer to which, I'm confident, was "no"

Croquet to solve a regional dispute is brilliant. My grandmother’s people called the original version of the game “lacrosse” by a term that translates into English as “little brother of war.” It was used to resolve regional disputes between bands in the areas around the Great Lakes.

That bit from Liverpool about the shopping trolleys... My Grandmother drove to the grocer's, did all of her shopping, and drove home. When she got home she sat down and fell asleep and when my uncle came over he noticed something wasn't right. As it turns out, she wasn't feeling "right" before she even left the house. The problem with the government is they govern people who seem incapable of properly prioritizing a nuanced set of concerns and priorities. Even stranger people who tend to go on about personal responsibility are confused when the government issues instructions that aren't absolute.
@messrsandersonco59853 жыл бұрын
The British are more sanguine and reasonable than most of the Mediterranean countries. What no-one in any country likes is when he/she is being told two things which are opposites. You can go on holiday to amber countries. You shouldn't go on holiday to amber countries. Query: you either can or can't. That's binary. "Should" introduces a moral choice. No formula for that! Personally, I think Britain's handling of CoVid-19 has been a shambles. The only thing they got right was vaccination and they weren't in charge of that! 🤣🤣 The number of deaths un the UK is absolutely ridiculous. I would suggest you look at Singapore's statistics* and the fact their key politicians have the appropriate university qualification and actually care about its population. *Singapore's population is 1/10th of the UK's. If you multiplied their deaths by a multiple of 10, they would have had 320 deaths. You had 128,000 and are still counting. They have actually had only 32 and they didn't lock down or close their borders until very late. You decide who had better government?

I know ViVaHD is just using what the bbc used in the credits. Baroness is not even the correct mode of address. She should be called Lady Warsi or Lady Sayeedi Warsi. You never hear of a Baron being called Baron, they are always called Lord. Maybe she prefers it to Lady, but it does somewhat diminish her status compared to men with the same title.
