Yep, as a dual nationality dutch/british person who has been watching HIGNFY since the 90s... the format of the show just suits the killer wit of english humour better. Also the main problem is Dutch people always want to win when there is a win condition when on english comedy panel shows the only objective is to make people laugh and the less points scored the better cause brits love the underdog.

I liked the Finnish version cuz our humour is similar to Brits, but they renew it a year or two ago and it was unfunny and didnt have the same quality as the old one

he's been on loads of times, he is a semi-regular guest, as before he became a vicar he was a popstar in the 80s band "The Communards" and Ian Hislop looks a bit like the lead singer of that band so it's been a running joke for years to pair them together.

@@marywood8794 we ARE experiencing a mouse plague throughout many regional areas. Not in the cities or coastal areas. Many people here who live in cities or on the coast are unaware of it because unfortunately they think eggs grow on trees and milk comes out the tap. They have no idea of what happens outside their our areas. Some country areas are so over run at the moment that mice are destroying all the electrical cabling in peoples homes, destroying crops and yes, people are being bitten in the sleep. Google video of Australian mouse plague 2021 2021 and some of the footage is terrible.

The show skews heavily to the final round. Meant that whilst Richard dominated most rounds, him and Ian laying an egg in the final round meant they were caught. Similar to how only-connect tends to skew heavily towards the missing vowels round given the negative marking and high rate of questions relative to the other 3 rounds, same principle here

No they didn't... Feral cat population has nothing to do with it.... It is a combination of record rains after drought, abundant grass with no stock feeding on it due to cattle being sold off during the drought. Providing ideal conditions.. Nature doing its boom or bust cycle...
