Never has a truer action been used. Pretty much every game I have ever played has crouching as a universal "wanna team up/wanna be friends/want help" speech, just in action form.
@FUBARguy1072 жыл бұрын
I love how The Crouch has so many meaning and requires the minimal amount of context to make sense. Take Halo. You can "Celebratory Crouch" on the corpse of your enemy. You can Excitedly Crouch when meeting a Frenemy through bullet proof glass to make a new friend. It can be used as a timing tool like "on the Crouch of Three".

The ending was spot on! I can’t tell you how much I love having a sick game with a random. but the moment that friend request comes in it’s like having to befriend and actually socialise with this person kinda breaks the magic. I need to have some insane connection with the random if I want to friend them for real.
@BlurredExistence8 ай бұрын
The problem with that attitude is that it goes both ways. I mean i'm the exact same way, and because of it my friend list has not grown in over a decade. Cause when they feel the magic i don't, and when i feel the magic they don't. So round and round we all go with nobody accepting anybody's friend requests. ;)

That's the real gamer's sign language! Don't know how it began, but crouching a few times always seems to signify that you want to be friendly with the opposing player (if he is still alive, so not speaking about tea bagging).
@LetsPlayCrazy2 жыл бұрын
Actually that is why we shake hands in the western world or bow with both hands in the eastern world. To show our hands are not holding any weapons. And it begane with the very first online games where chat was not usually implemented or used, or only usable with friends and so on. I think as a comment mentioned the first thing was wiggling in something like quake, but since wiggle is only ever used in shooters and crouching is basicially in any game these days, it has become the norm. In games where you can't crouch like top downs, eratic left-right movement might still be used to signal friendship. Fun fact: no matter how toxic a community is, I RARELY see this abused. It is like the pirates code. No matter how shitty we are, this is something that does not get abused.

Wow! Absolutely perfected storytelling. I’m speechless at how this video is so flawless. Everything about this video would be worthy of an Academy Award if there was one for online videos like this. Just the sheer raw emotion and acting without dialogue of how those two teamed up together by just squatting is just astounding. The deep emotional bonding impact by just the power of the squat can work wonders that many may not realize. It’s like the action adventure rpg equivalent of the handshake. The bending of the knees, it’s like telling someone, “Do not fret, I mean you no harm.” Many other stories rely on dialogue to build relationships for characters, not this one. Plus, the fact that he denied the friend request shows he didn’t need to make a decision for a game to decide whether or not they are friends, because he already knew they were friends deep down in their hearts, and that’s all that matters. Wonderful video.
