I like that in the TTRPG Barbarians Of Lemuria, there's a boon called "battle harness" that lets a character wear a chainmail bikini or an armored harness for a boost in defense. In the french edition of the book, the art chosen to represent it chose the chainmail bikini route... and its wearer was a mighty muscular mustached male barbarian.

When Nightfall dropped for Guild Wars 1, the guild I was with basically finished the missions/quests as they could be, so we were one of the first groups to finish the final boss. Walking around Lion's Arch in the Primeval Warrior Armor after that was the most I've ever acted and been treated like a model in gaming haha.
