I've a high roof Vivaro on a 63 plate. 3 years ago it took an impact on the roof on the offside. 2 garages I've been to cannot seem to locate a squeak on the RHS when going over speed humps + it slightly leans to the RHS but drives perfectly. They have changed the track rod ends, drop links and dampers but not the springs as they looked ok according to the mechanic. I'm tempted to change these parts myself as the bill is already over 1k 🙄 Thank you for the informative video 👍

@LarcsWorkshop4 ай бұрын
@@dannybartlett4225 Sounds like your engine mounts/steady's might by on their way out. Watch the engine while slipping the clutch on and off with the handbrake on. If the engine rocks a lot they could be worn out. I've got some other engine mount videos that might be helpful. Good luck sorting it out 🤞.

Hi there, thanks for such a useful series. Got the same issue with my Vivaro. Quick question. I see you say you don't recommend the set you bought from EBay because of poor track rod ends. I've already changed those on mine so only need the drop links and control arms- but the kit is still far cheaper than buying individual parts. Can you give an update on those parts please? If they are still OK after a year I'll order the EBay kit and bin the track rods. Thanks again. James

attempted this today but I’m struggling with the ball joint on the arm. I’ll pick up a separation fork and give it another go tomorrow but in moving the drive shaft slightly I’ve lost a very small amount of transmission fluid. How much trouble have I caused?
@LarcsWorkshop2 ай бұрын
@@Nutberg20 Personally I would drain the gearbox oil and renew it (if you haven't done it recently). If not, you'll have to get a dipstick and top it up to the correct level. It would be a good idea to ask the dealer the quantity of oil and type required as there are a few different gearboxes. Good luck sorting it out 🤞.
@Nutberg202 ай бұрын
@@LarcsWorkshop Thankyou for your reply! Its recently had a new clutch so the fluid is fresh in last week. I got the arm on today along with drop links and track rod ends. All seems well with the van. Ready for the MOT. I shall check the levels and top up if needed. Thanks for the recommendation.

Just reading the Haynes manual for my vivaro and it says only use the jack points that are next to the wheels to jack up the van.. But I put my 2 ton trolley jack under and at full extension the wheel doesn't even start to come off the ground. Jacked it from the sill too and bent it.. Where do you jack it from? Cheers!
@LarcsWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
I normally jack it up from either the cross member behind the sill at the bottom of the 'B' pillar or under the front subframe, where it bolts to the body. Good luck sorting it out 🤞. Cheers Larcs 👍
