This guy is great! Just discovering him, reading his "Postcolonial Theory and the Specter of Capital" (2014) This classroom lecture emphasizes the structural constraints of the system, first and foremost the way profitability determines investment. Replacing capitalism: the hardest thing to do ever.

Hi, I'd like to add subtitles to this video in my language, is there any easy way to do that without downloading both the video and a program on my computer ?
@ChannelMath3 жыл бұрын
Probably not (unless you count downloading them onto someone else's computer). However, downloading the video is easy, as is getting a free video editor that you can add text with, if you have a recent computer. You can maybe even put together semi-automatic subtitling (or pay someone else less than $100 to write and/or add them). When you find a suitable computer, I can point you toward these things. According to this, would it work for workers in a supply chain of a multinational to organize for better work place environments and pay geared towands the government were that multinational resides? Or should that work force look to its own government? Is there any strategy using some of the principles presented here to help that vexing problem? There seems to be little hope for the working poor of the world in this capitalist based system.

1) what about wealth without growth policies supported by a large voter base; strikes combined with appropriation of means of substance and annulling the market; 2) given the titel "Brechtian ..." the demand for mobilization does leave the question of emancipation versus guardianship; indeed a follow the leader mentality is probably what also leads to right wing populism being able to mobilize working class to willfully make concessions to capital

Love this however his interterpretation of Karl Marx's "Gravediggers" statement was more general that sometime just like slavery to feudalism and feudalism to capitalism, capitalism will one day have an end.
