The Christian concept of free will determines whether nations continue to pursue or reject God. It seems Westerners began to favor capitalism over God and family, and these are the consequences. However, America's greatness doesn't stem from capitalism but rather from its Christian culture.

Immigrations from Italy and East Asia were a net positivity for the most part to the US, despite the social issues. They were legal and they weren't as massive in numbers unlike most modern illegal immigration waves from other continents and countries. No, the increase in Immigration to the US from Latin America was driven by the simple fact that the US never had a functioning Southern border, which allowed millions to enter without any control, the excuse of "cheap labor" doesn't hold here, the US is a country of migration, mainly from Europe but also from other countries, and that was the case even before 1965, they never lacked the numbers for "cheap labor" from within the existing population of legal migrants that didn't suffer from reduced birth rates at that time period. This illegal migration wave that started from Latin America was driven by the political need of one American party to import voters and that has been true for decades! Homogenous cultures don't really evolve over time, unless you refer to the process of their creation. They spread, they expand, they advance within their own parameters and become dominant by maintaining a cohesive control within a set territory for a long period of time, unless they destroy themselves with horrible decision making by their ruling parties, like the ones involving current open border policies and mass migration that has done nothing but dilute the dominant European cultures within their own countries. There's no reason for the currently "successful cultures" to lag behind unless they deliberately decide to self destruct. And that has to do with the political ruling elite that are driving destructive changes and policies with no legitimate mandate by their own people. The ones you mentioned are still lagging behind, nothing has changed in that regard. The perceived "superiority" of Western culture is not related to Christianity, it's related to technological advancements, and societal advancements, to being more "advanced" compared to other people in other continents, which allowed them to colonialize other countries and continents with relative ease. They had a more advanced military force and arms. The "founders" were English, they were Europeans, and the previous old notions about religion involved different religions that were inherently connected to their place of origin and the countries and the ethnicities that practiced them, which was also connected to the territorial conflicts in the old world and the attempt of people to conquer territories of other people and force their religion and culture on the local populations of the conquered territories, and this happened all over the world throughout human history. Today, mass migration is used as a weapon of that very same attempted conquest by other religions and cultures against Western countries. Who needs an army when you can import millions of people from a different continent that have different religions, costumes and cultures that do not work or mix with the local ones and with time they end up quite literally "taking over"? "Cultural adoption" or "integration" is not inherent to immigration, it's "optional" to immigration, depending on the culture of the migrants and the size of the migration, and it doesn't really exist with modern "mass immigration". Anglo-American culture is not "universal" at all, it's specifically English and British, even if uniquely "twisted" compared to the the UK, and the only reason it succeeded was because different nations agreed or were forced to adopt it for a period of time and much of it has got to do with the colonialist era and its remnants. Presently, the previously dominant Anglo/European culture in Western countries is fading away rapidly as the local native European population and those of European origin diminish in numbers in their countries while millions of illegal immigrants from different cultures and ethnicities uncontrollably enter their territories with the assistance of their local corrupt governments. It's happening in the US, it's happening in Canada, it's happening in every English speaking country and in most Western European countries and some Central and Southern European countries as well - like Germany and Italy - as part of the EU's corrupt open border policies. This is why countries like Hungary and Poland closed their border to immigration several years ago, and some countries in Northern Europe have already reversed or in the process of reversing their previous open border policies.

The arrival of Italians and East Asians brought challenges, including organized crime in Chinatowns and corruption from the papacy. Despite America being predominantly Protestant, the Mafia, influenced by Jewish and Italian alliances, had a significant impact, as did the introduction of liberalism and communism through Hollywood. While the southern border historically remained open, mass migration became an issue with rising birth rates in Mexico, exacerbated by NAFTA programs under the Bush and Clinton administrations, leading to millions migrating to America.

Despite all the efforts to combat so-called climate change no one will address the point that the root cause is overpopulation. When there are too many humans the average standard of living of all humans is reduced. Ultimately excessive population will result in a death spiral and the problem will be solved. The system will be restored to equilibrium. In the interim, migration is merely one symptom. Populations that live in political or environmentally oppressive regions should cease reproduction. The triumph of hormones over neurons marches toward the cliff.
