Thanks for the encouraging update ! On these recovery journeys sometimes you need to lose what needs to be lost ( such as catastrophic thinking and overstress) and find what needs to be found ( such as more soothing thoughts and ways to go about your life that are less stressful). Every symptom is a conversation in the body. We are not made wrong , we are not broken.

I think Vivian’s success story last year was one of the first I heard when this all began for me. When I first discovered Dr. Yo and felt getting better was possible. The biggest relief!

Walking. So true. Brought a tear to my eye when she said that. I remember that so well. Being able to walk without swaying or marshmallows is something I didn’t think possible 3 years ago

I am incredibly grateful to have discovered Dr. Arthur's KZbin channel and her educational videos. For the past 15 months, I have been suffering from post-COVID dizziness, struggling to find relief. It's hard to believe it took me this long to watch just one success story, but it was exactly what I needed today, as I spent my morning crying in my physical therapist office feeling like nobody gets me. I related to everything Vivian said and now have a new hope and excitement for my future. This video meant a lot to me, and I just wanted you to know that. It would be wonderful if one day I could share my story and be a success story interview! ❤

I’ve been battling PPPD/mdds for 6 months 24/7. Having a hard time believing it’s ever going to end. But I love hearing stories where it has happened for others- it truly does give me hope! Thank you for sharing!

Great story! I’m a dizzy gal too and I’ve been benefiting tremendously from Dr. Yo’s The Steady Coach. But as of late I have also liked Dan Buglios’s daily videos too. And Sarno’s books. So I could really relate to this success story!

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to have discovered Dr. Yo. I have had MdDs 4 times since 2015. The first two times were onset by long plane rides, the third from being on a floating dock, and the most recent and lengthiest bout is going on 2 years this coming July. It was brought on by boating. As you can imagine, I’ve been to numerous doctors and therapists and even did twice a day treatments in a Gyrostim for two weeks. When the most recent episode began, I told myself I’ve got this. I’ve done this before. I know what I’m dealing with. However, once I was beyond the four month point (the amount of time the prior 3 episodes took to resolve), then a year, year and a half… the battle became unbearable mentally, emotionally… especially since no one in my life really understands (not their fault). I discovered Dr. Yo and have found such comfort and encouragement listening to her videos and the success stories. Thank you, Dr. Yo! I appreciate you more than you will ever know!!! ❤️

Hi Dr.Yo. I am still waiting for when I will feel better and live my life again. I have gotten to the point where i cannot even lay flat at night because i am scared i might set something off so i sleep on 3 pillows every night and it is not comfortable and my neck does not feel nice and relaxed but still because of fear i do it. I recently found out about upcoming family events I need to attend and my stress has been high all over again each day i am feeling the sensations again even when i am not doing anything and i feel like im bringing things back and having a setback even though that is the last thing i want. i don't know how to move forward with this because i have trapped myself to my room again and just lay down all day and night and it feels horrible to be wasting life like this and i have been feeling visual sensations again and unbalanced and lightheaded which when that happens it increases my stress even more and i feel as im obsessing and constantly overanalyzing my body each day again and i dont understand how to get out of it it is very frustrating and i feel like such a disappointment to myself and my family i don't know what to do Dr.Yo

So helpful, thanks you so much for this video. I wrote many things and I will force me to remember that its gonna be okay. The moment where she is sharing her toolbox is so powerful. I began to return to my normal life since one month, and I see a lot of improvement (mental health and energy) I still have symptoms 24/7 but i deal with it and continue to live even if its really hard sometimes. I see globally a progress, so its positive 🙏

Hello Dr Yonit, I'm really confused about my recovery at this stage. At this point (5 years of symptoms and 3 years of knowing what is going on) I know a lot about the pppd, the nervous system, the vestibular work and therapy. I was never stopped moving one way or another, I can do excercises, do house work. Going out is difficult but over the years I tried to have some kind of persistence. From time to time I am abled to go to a supermarket or a shop (at this point they are the most avoided places). I haven't got any kind of stress, except when I had a bad day, with strong symptoms. I don't focus on symptoms, I changed many things for my health as general, I worked a lot with therapist if there is something undercover. But at the end there isnt any kind of change regarding the symptoms. I still have the chronic feelings, still have days and weeks where every symptom is enhanced no mather where I am and what am I doing. I thought after so much "work" I should have some kind of relieve and to see that I am at the right path. I don't know what else to do and this leads me to start looking for other causes of the condition, although nothing has come up so far.

Hi there, this is such a tough situation for you and I'm sorry you're not getting the relief you're looking for. IMO if what you're doing isn't working, we're missing something. That doesn't mean a medical issue, it just means that we're not addressing the problem. Going to therapy and talking about problems doesn't necessarily calm the nervous system. Option 1: look into experiential therapy like IFS, AEDP, somatic experiencing, or coherence therapy. Current day or obvious stress are not always the issue. Option 2: maybe you need a break from doing all this work!!! All the focusing on trying to fix yourself might be the opposite of what your system needs right now.

Thanks for the great video. A Q for Dr Yo / Vivian - What is the best strategy to get out of the habit of catastrophizing thinking ? Seems I have picked up this skill so well over years that it's hard to let go 😅 .

Hi Dr Yonit, thank you so much for your helpful videos. Almost a year ago, I had a high blood pressure suddenly which I was shocked and scared about. Ever since I’m have been feeling dizzy all the time with different symptoms (neck stiffness, eye pain, fatigue, ear ringing, shortness of breath etc). Symptoms change so quickly. My MRI and all blood tests are normal, I went through full medical check up as well. Please advise if it’s possible to be normal again. 😢
@TheSteadyCoach
@TheSteadyCoach 10 ай бұрын
I'm so sorry that happened to you. Situations like that can shock your nervous system into a state of alarm, so that it becomes stuck in a cycle of "danger mode" and symptoms. As long as you are medically clear, this is just a nervous system error and is reversible.

@@TheSteadyCoach thank you so much. So could you please advise which type of doctor should I consult? A neurologist? Unfortunately we don’t have any dizziness experts here in my country. I’m going to fly to Dubai and see a doctor. Please advise who I should consult with. A neurologist or ENT?

Dear Dr Yonit. 2 questions. 1 would it br possible to ask more questions about the visual stuff in interviews? I would love to hear more detail from more people! 2 I still cant really accept feeling the visual stuff. I find it so hard to believe it is normal... even after the stress and pppd etc. Especially struggle when talking to people. I just cant keep up with the movements and talking/ standing all at the same time. What would you recommand? Should i keep on trying to socialize even though it feels so difficult processing these visual stuff? Just keep trying to learn my brain it is safe to talk and stand and feel these sensations? 🙏
