+Stacy Atkinson You know as told by another viewer lol, its easier to use stay tape from Jo Anne's. I use this now all the time. Fancy not knowing that was available.... So I use this on my other dresses, check the red dress in the playlist for the Vivienne I show it there.

The pattern goes from 1-12. Then there is also a teen version from 14-20.

hi Marina.. lovely design.. black n white combination dress is my favourite.. gorgeous 👌 Doubt: I'm trying to do the same for a single shoulder n without collar.. confusingly.. I'm not able to finish the bodice with lining attachment 😯 is it because I did the zipper attachment first.. before doing the single arm round and the side seam?😔

+divya nc You can do the zipper first but must leave the side seam open so it can all still be turned. That is all :)

I have bought a number of your patterns which I am looking forward to making. I notice that a lot of your patterns have a very low back neckline which is fine for a summer dress, but a bit chilly for a winter one. Do your patterns have an alternative higher back neckline for winter wear?

Hi, this one doesn't, it is not very low but I understand the isssue. You can take the back up but the collar will not fit that shape. If you aren't intending to do a collar then that would be fine.

+Kerry Hardstaff The pattern goes up to 76 waist and 90 chest so quite a few ladies will fit into that. I was going up to 12 and so many asked can you do tween sizes and adults? Can't do them all but if you fit that size range then you can go for it. I might have to jog a bit more to fit into one :)

Its stay tape. You can easily help yourself by using the selvedge of some lining if you have non to hand. I did that all the time. cut some off and use that to stabilize necklines.

I think I answered that already in an email? Always use the plain circle for the box pleat circle skirt otherwise it will be too thick and heavy.

Can I use any cotton for the tape along the neck and arm holes? If I'm using fabric scrap and I don't know the salvage edge do you just cut across the grain?

Das Bändchen heißt Formband und ist sehr leicht, es verschwindet fast in der Naht. Wenn ich gerade kein Formband habe, nehme ich die Webekante von anderen Stoffen am besten Polyesterfutter. Baumwolle ist oft zu dick und auch zu locker gewebt. Es franst aus und ist dann zu nichts gut. Guck mal bei Karstadt nach einer Rolle Formband. Das lohnt sich.

I'm making the circle skirt with the sleeveless botice but am stuck. You didn't show how you added the skirt to the botice and lining.It's like several steps were skipped when you switched dresses. I am now stuck with a completed open lined botice and a circle skirt with no idea how to attach and add the zipper. I am an experienced sewer and have made hundreds of kids dresses with zippers. Please help.

This is a tartan weave. The fabric was a very fine wool, quite light. I love working with high quality wool. It feels so smooth on the top, is so light and yet really warm and easy to handle.
