That is not inverse. 1/1.4= 0.714 1/1.28= 0.781 That is normal math. Vivo sensor is bigger. 🙏

I read the 1/1.4 and 1/1.28 as just 1.4 and 1.28... my mistake of course as I forgot that these are written in inverse... It's the fact that these the sizes are written in fractions and the fractions with a smaller number in the denominator is larger is what totally slipped my damn mind😂😂

The Find X8 Pro main camera sensor is not bigger than the X200P, the X8 pro uses the LYT-808 at 1/1.4' and the X200P uses the LYT-818 at 1/1.28'. That's a fairly large size difference and might explain why the X200P resolves detail better. The reason the X200P does much better at zoom ranges above 6x compared to the X8P is because the 6x sensor on the X8P is honestly pretty dissapointing hardware wise. It's using a 1/2.51' sensor at an aperture of f4.3 with a total of 50mp, compared to Vivo's 3.7x 1/1.4' sensor at an aperture of f2.67 with 200mp. I miss what Oppo was doing with the earlier Find X series with hardware at the absolute peak.

I myself have X8P and the choice for that over X200 is better thermals and since I've had some OP phones over the years, I like the ColorOS. Just a bit of shame that they didn't put in "better" hardware, but yeah, smaller depth on camera house is a big plus for me aswell, since having Oppo X6P, Xiaomi 14Ultra they bulge out quite a bit.

There is something about the X8 pros Hasselblad default profile that I just find a bit unappealing compared to the X200 pro. The X200 pros shots even if not necessarily a true representation every time look so appealing to the eye and well balanced. The X8s colour profile is just too cold and yellowy / muddy looking to my eyes especially when in normal daylight shots, reminds me a little bit of older Chinese phones.

bigger issue than smaller sensor size for me between ultra and 200 pro is the lense flare. Yes, it happens everywhere. Yes, Ai has "solved" it for images. It is still a lot more noticable when recording video with it compared to the ultra

If I can give you an advice... Please be more constant in the naming of the phones. It was very hard to understand which phone you are making reference of. In this video I think it was better to just refer to them as Vivo and OPPO. Pronouncing x200 pro and x8 pro was sometimes confusing

Are we sure the smaller sensor is indeed a downgrade? What if newer technology lets it gather the same amount of light as the previous 1" sensor? Is the 1" using double stacked tech? Maybe a comparison in ultra low light would give all the answer we possibly need...

Even though I have some cool lenses, this new telephoto with advanced processing almost matches the look along with providing supreme convenience. Upgrading the phone from Vivo X80. Previously I had Vivo 11 Pro and then V15 Pro. Clearly, Vivo has me hooked lol

I don't like the fact that many of tech youtubers try to tell people that smaller sensor is not a problem. I understand that vivo gave them phones so they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them but come on. There are comparisons between x100u and x200 pro where you can clearly see the difference in main sensor. More light, more fine details. You cannot defend step back especially when with smaller sensor you get more processing but less quality.

Vivo didn't give me s**t my dude... I don't know Abt other comparisons... But based on my experience the sensor size problem is miniscule... It's not ideal as I mentioned in the video... A downgrade shouldn't be acceptable... But we should also understand that better sensor tech and software can easily make up for the differences... Some of my future comparisons will showcase that as well

I think the biggest difference between a 1inch main sensor and the 1/1.3" sensor (used in X200P) happens when you digitally zoom to 2x. Please include the performance of the 2x digital zoom (using the main cam) in future comparisons. That is where the sensor size difference really shows. I saw this when 2x samples were compared between the X100U and X200P, there was a big difference in details.

Oppo are better in daylight bcoz of it natural approaching. In harsh conditions vivo oversharpening in favor of oppo and mute sunlight reflections.

Vivo all the way, even in selfies looks better, because better cutout and bokeh looks more natural, from all these shots maybe 5% was better on oppo. Vivo has bigger main sensor and tele thats why oppo didn't stand a chance. Most dissapointing on oppo is that 6X looks worse than vivo 6X digital crop, just wtf?

I find Oppo processing slightly too bright exposure, leads to crunchy look along with the black crush it does. For some reason they also don't retain detail as well as you'd hope; I use an older model and while it's still quite good, I have a little preset in lightroom that tunes stock photos more to my liking. You can also see real details in the lightroom camera vs stock camera; not sure what's going on there but the stock cam really does an oil painting look on fine details
