Dubs quit sounding bad forever ago but old heads still believe this and never give them a try. The old heads also are old enough to fill the positions. It's not random scrubs doing a shit job

I liked the sub and the dub - a better anime than I could have hoped for. One of the better endings as well - and the ending fight scene and I believe the song is also called "Fluorite Eye's Song" became one of my favorite anime songs ever - I could listen to a 30-minute version and not tire of it.

I..I.. I am typically a dub supporter but man THE SUB SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER!!! No hate for the dub VAs but I have gotten used to associating the Characters with the Japanese Voices. Also I'd prefer if Cristina Vee's voice in this was a little bit denser, to me it's a little bit high pitched. Matsumoto has a great fit.

The dub is done by Bang Zoom! so it will mostly utilize LA talent. Of course she's actually worked with Funimation before here and there. Actors are contractors so they aren't tied to one studio, and since virtually all VAs are able to work from home now, there are less limits to who can appear in what dub. As for why it's part of Funimation's lineup, I'm guessing it has to do with Funimation and Aniplex both belonging to the Sony family tree now.

I'm normally a pretty big fan of dubs, but these voices just sound super off to me. The voices themselves don't sound bad by any means, but maybe I'm just too used to the sub but they just don't sound right for the characters to me. Vivy sounds too... Young? Something like that. She sounds too light of voice, maybe... Too expressive or something. Matsumoto on the other hand, sounds too sensible. In sub he's super fast whenever he talks and is very emotive, showing how much more advanced of a personality he has compared to Vivy, but here he just sounds more normal. Again, the voices themselves sound good, but just don't work super well for the characters imo.
