I reckon that Pogba could get back to his "peak" again when he starts playing for whichever club buys him. With the time he's had off, it's given his body a chance to heal and rest so hopefully the injuries he has are less likely to occur again, especially if he trains properly & rests his body properly after training

I was surprised Pogba got a four year ban, since two year bans are the standard in many other sports (and I'm not too bothered with him going down to 18 months as a result). That said, he's responsible for what he puts into his body, and unless the ingredients of the supplements were incorrectly declared, I don't really like the "I'm not a cheat, I'm an idiot" defense. When it comes to supplements, I'm always reminded of Danish semi-professional cyclist Martin Toft Madsen who (along with his lawyers) actually managed to provide a legitimate defense about a contaminated supplement. Madsen did so by keeping a sealed package of the supplement from the batch he claimed to have taken, and when the Danish anti-doping agency tested that supplement, it turned out to have contained the illegal substance (which had not been declared on the packaging). Madsen proved he'd ingested the dodgy supplement in good faith, which led to a single result being voided - he did have an illegal substance in his body that day - and no further consequence. I wouldn't wish Pogba's family on anyone though. Must be extremely tough to have the people who should be closest to you try to screw you over like that. Would be cool if he decided to start from scratch in a smaller club, and tried to regain the joy of playing football instead.

He will stay playing in a top 5 league because if you really look at his intentions with his posts his plan is to get back to the French National team and be with them at the 2026 World Cup. I mean DeChamps wants him back and has called back players from the dead like Benzema as well as players playing in obscure leagues like Kanté at Saudi and Gignac from Mexico during Euro 2016. The French team doesn't have a midfield profile like him so if he comes back even 70% of himself Dechamps would bring him back.

I tell you one thing, I'm tired of analysis about Paul Pogba that don't mention the circumstances, and what he's been through. It is ungrateful. He's been threatened by the french suburb mafia, they came in his apartment with rifles asking millions and stuff. It does not help to think straight. He's also victim of it. His brothers are surrounded by people from the suburbs since childhood. He tries his best to escape them but even his brothers are under pressure. It's like he has to fight against his own entourage who instead of giving support is highly toxic, on top of having to fight the medias and pundits. NONE of the recent analysis of Pogba mention the current trial where his entourage is under investigation in France, and where Paul is a victim. Disgrace of many youtubers, or mere lazyness. And although he quite often disappointed at club level, he still brought moments of brilliance, moments of exceptional joy that goes beyond just competitiveness, he has a flair that only the greats like Zidane used to have, that makes football emotional, like art. At international level, he never let his team down and is looked as an example for France on the pitch. I hope he'll stay in Europe.

Saudia Arabia is having a crisis in football. Domestic interest decreased, money is not flowing anymore.
