Vizio TV logo Flashing (Blinking), TV will not turn on, not working, etc. How to Fix the issue

This is model XVT3D424SV, I was watching a DVD, I switched the input to TV, tried to connect to netflix, it was unable to connect, I tried to reboot the TV, then it would not power on, the only life was a blinking VIZIO logo. This is the fix

Absolutely brilliant simple fix. I had an endlessly rebooting Vizio on which I was trying all sorts of unplug/replug sequences, using the remote. Your fix of unplug, hit the on/off button on the TV itself, replug was the "magic" step. Thanks!

Wow I found a vizo 46 inch in my neighborhood someone was throwing away with remote so I figured I'd give it a shot and bring it home and test it if it works figured it's worth a chance so plugged it in and vizo light started blinking so I youtubed it and found this guys option so unplugged it and held the power button in for 10-12 seconds then plugged it back in it blinked for about 45 seconds them BOOM it cut on!!! This dude is the freaking truth!! Thanks for help fixing our TVS.

THANKS SO MUCH!! I did exactly what you said & it works!!! Unplug from back... hold down power button for 30 seconds... plug back in... Vizio will flash for min or so then the Vizio will stay orange... push the power button & it will turn on. THANKS AGAIN! If your in the Minnesota area I will buy you supper.

A week ago the power on my LED 42" Flat Screen Vizio just went out. My TV is only 1-1/2 years old and I am out of warranty. So of course I decided to turn to youtube for guidence. I decided to take the back of my TV and replace the fuse, I proceeded totake the back off and located the fuse but decided to try to plug the TV into a different outlet before going and further and A MIRACLE HAPPEN THE TV STARTED WORKING AGAIN. Thank God because I called vizio and they gave me a number to a TECH repair shop in my area. I don't need them my TV is playing beautifully. I say all of that to say this....... TRY A DIFFERENT OUT, I ALSO UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE TV AND CABLE BOX AND MY TV IS FINE........ HOPE THIS ADVICE WORKS FOR SOMEONE.

Okay, so I the tv turned on yesterdaywith no problem. I had to me the volume. When I went back the tv Vixio logo was on, but the screen was black. I could not turn it off using the remote or push the of button on the tv. I tried to unplug and reconnect, but it would not turn off. What do we do to fix it?

Thanks man...appreciate the info. This is a common problem, not just with Vizio TV's...but with LG's and other "smart" TV's....i think it's a capacitor problem on the power supply board, but until it's gone completely....not willing to tear into it.... toilet flushing was epic!! :-)

I had the same issue. Held the power button for 30 seconds. Released, pressed the power button once. Tow minutes later, the light stops blinking and the set comes on and works properly. Thanks

Have you tried holding the power button in for 30 seconds while the television is unplugged?

my vizio was just doing that , which is why i searched your video , and while i was searching for your video the tv fixed itself i think it is just a reboot process you just have to leave it on for couple minutes and leave it alone

make sure the power cord is plugged all the way in. Try only having the tv plugged into the outlet, i.e. if it is using a power strip, unplug everything from the power strip. Also if it is using a power strip, try a different power strip, or at least try a different plug. Sometimes components of the power strips go bad and the plugs closer to the cable are the ones which work the longest....keep me posted.

Leo P my Vizio does this cycle over and over. Power light comes on, vizio logo appears, input drop down menu appears, screen goes black, power light comes on, vizio logo appears, input menu, over and over. The remote does nothing. could be many things from a bad computer chip to too much dust. I would suggest going to the vizio web site an clicking on support. The only thing I can suggest from building computers is unplug all inputs and trying this procedure. i.e.unplug all hdmi, analog, etc. then do this procedure...and keep us posted this is interesting

My Vizio tv will not turn on the gold vizio on the front is off and when I turn on the power on the side panel as the remote will not turn it in either.....I get this flashing little white light down on the lower right front side of the tv. Ours does that too at times, sometimes while watching it, it will turn off and then blink and then after a few moments it will turn back on, on it's own. We have a internet one and supposely, when it's doing that, it's downloading updates.

Hey my light is blinking I replaced the video board and the power board the only thing left to replace is the TCON board and I cannot find another one of those around ... When I first got my power board it turned on and froze up so I thought oh boy I need a new main board so picked up a new main board and installed that as well I really am not sure but it appears the TCON would have nothing to do with the backlights but the screen is good and backlights are fine as well... that has been verify.
