Give me Handel . There are times I find Bach laborious.

@donstoner4725 I was spoiled by the E. Power Biggs Bach albums played on the Harvard Flentrop. I do like some Handel operas, though. (Have you read "Handel in London" by Dame Jane Glover? She directs the Music of the Baroque Chorus and Orchestra here.) From Chicago, U.S.A.

I miss these Bach recitals very much. Glad to see one before 2025. And of course, looking forwards to the next one until the end! Kudos to Dr. Karosi
Love BWV 540. Been working on it on and off for the better part of a decade, we'll see if I ever get it to playable...

This organ is excellent: many years ago, my mother gave me a CD with a selection of Bach's organ works performed by Joan Lipnicott, a true delight! I hope I can know this organ.

I’ve always loved the organ. Our Church organist of 60 plus years and my Uncle played so well. My Mom could also. I guess their influences helped inspire me.

The toccata and fugue in F is a tour de force with excellent execution underpinned by 16' in the manuals and 32' in the pedals. There's another In Dulci Jubilo, BWV729, left out but probably more well known than the one here.
@bkarosi18 күн бұрын
Thank you! BWV 729 was part of another, earlier Bach Recital

@@bkarosi I see, I have watched most of your other programs and will go back to catch up or revisit them again in due course. They form a wonderful collection and introduced some remarkable organs in the US.

I doubt that there is any 32’ stop in this instruments.

Hi, Balint. A doubt to clarify, please: all scores I have of BWV 603 don't have repeat or volta sign. Does some edition have it? Happy New Year!

Check the Barenreiter
@marcelobrunorodrigues763015 күн бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. There is the repetition or volta indication. Checking the manuscript, the last bar/measure can be considered ambiguous because there is no repetition sign - |; :| -although it allows the possibility of playing either this way or not. Very peculiar, indeed.@bkarosi

Technically Brilliant, if a little robotic. What an instrument though, suits you very well.

Performance practice in Bach has changed over the last few decades. In the past the legato line was important, manuals and pedals, now just about every note is detached.
