Sode No Shirakyuki has always been my favorite zanpakuto because it was labeled the most beautiful and it really was and i always hoped when she got a bankai it would still fit that theme and boy did Kubo deliver It’s easily the best looking in my option and the fact that it’s actually terrifyingly powerful is just par for the course i love Rukia and Sode No Shirayuki

I've always had a thing for ice users in any fantasy context and Rukia and her zanpakuto are easily my favorite.

Bleach is what got me into anime as a kid and Rukia is what made me fall in love with the beauty of ice. My childhood self imagined her Bankai would be exactly like this and was disappointed she was the only reaper who hadn't developed one. Everything caught in its radius is turned to pure ice, and all molecular movement comes to an immediate halt. Because of the extreme rate of change in temperature caused by this Bankai, there is literally no room for error in its use. A single misstep is fatal to its user. It's powerful enough to rival Zanka no Tachi, but is equally unforgiving.

It was after this moment and Rukia's later appointment as captain that really made me crave for a arc focused on her alone. The newest arc is 12 years past this which is a perfect timeskip as by that point Rukia will have been able to start bringing out her Bankai's power. Remember that it takes around a decade for a Shinigami's Bankai to truly mature into a useable WMD and even more time to truly bring out a Bankai's full potential, so keep in mind that as impressive as this display was, at this point Rukia's Bankai is a fledgling, which means that she alot of room for growth.
