I think the new electric AC on the latest 182 weighs like 50 lbs? If Mosaic allows weight to go up a few hundred pounds it would be pretty easy to do and still have the ultimate setup. Full tanks, bags, two occupants. That would be good traveling.

Nice plane. I wonder how hard it is to slow down and how it performs in the flare etc. It LOOKS very nice and thankfully they put a BRS in.

To slow down, it is a matter of closing the power and holding level. This bleeds the speed off fairly quickly. As soon as you have 80 Kts you drop the gear and then the drag slows you pretty quickly after that. ( 65-70 kt Initial approach speed.) Note: Typically on approaching an airfield you are already coming off the power so when you join overhead you are at between 100 and 120 kts VL3 Aviation South Africa

They should totally put rockets on it, incorporate some stealth tech, and equip it for low-orbit flight. Way cooler.

@@cascott1392 well I wouldn't categorically rule that out but ballistic suborbital is a pretty aggressive mode of transport. Unlike yours, what I suggested is very doable and costwise very viable and would revolutionize GA. A jet engine is actually a very simple thing and a two seater that doesn't even have a piston engine in it can be so light that the jet engines can be tiny yet still do 700km/h at altitude. Something like 10-15kg per engine with 100kg thrust. Perhaps you can imagine that such a little angry vacuum cleaner can be produced at a very workable price, even less than typical LSA piston engines. The very overpriced rotax 915 costs 39k$. Try to look at a cutaway of the PBS TJ100 engine. It's a turbojet engine, not a turbofan but you can still get a sense of its scope. And compare to a rotax 915. The turbocharger for a 915 is similar in complexity to the entire jet engine. What I suggest is not an idle impulse, it's quite sound.
