Hey brother hope all is well. I left you a question a while back about soft shoes and do you recommend any. What I wanted to say was are there any good rubber sole shoes or what’s know as Casual dress shoes you would recommend like the Cole Haan type of shoes.. I’m a db guy. I’ve changed my style in the past few years to wear more of them. It’s classic and sets me apart from everyone else. Plus, as a bigger guy… it helps hide your gut(when cut right)

Thanks for all your kind words, fam! My advice is to check out Wool ties from shops like Shibumi, they’re a bit heavier so I only wear them in the winter. Also check out John Henric (johnhenric.com/us/accessories/ties/cashmere-ties). They have a nice selection of cashmere, cotton and linen ties.

I got my business casual look locked down but I struggle with casual wear. I have outfits that are either too comfortable, or are over-styled with ugly and unnecessary brand logos 😣 and I hate that. Love a nice 40s to 50s style double breasted suit. Looks sharp. Oh yeah, Gregory Peck in that "gray flannel suit" was GQ as hell. Not double breasted but on point. Beats the hell out of the current super skinny suits and a pair of Jordans we have today. 😎

What’s up, Lesly? I only wear bow ties with a tux. Some guys really do a good job wearing them, but they bring too much attention which I’m not a fan of. I like when people compliment me on being well dressed without being able to pick out one piece.

Unfortunately those sizes aren’t common off the rack but check out Suitsupply. They have some nice stuff and have a ton of stores but none in NC.

Double breasted suits are my absolute favorite suit style. My first suit I got made to measure from Men’s wearhouse is a medium grey double breasted suit. I love wearing it when I get the chance

Some more questions: any thoughts on Dr schole pad inserts to add comfort and avoid some shoe break-in pain? Walgreens brand is better, btw. Similar idea, buying dress shoes if you wear an orthotic. Tips on ironing your clothes. Do you do it yourself or do you dry clean? Enzo extended my cuff to 2 inches but it’s a faux cuff and I hate that it doesn’t have the full body of a normal cuff. Any thoughts on the faux cuff if there isn’t enough material? Would you ever wear a single vent jacket? Forward pleat or backward pleat pants? Are there any cobblers in NJ or your area good enough to resole a Goodyear welted shoe? Would you wear the lazy man loafer (Churchill)? Hope you could get some content from that.

Appreciate the questions, Evan! Just to answer a couple here: I do both both dry clean with no starch and I also wash and iron my shirts at times. Just depends if I'm in the mood or short on time. I will make a video on how I take care of my shirts soon. As far as cobblers, I use one in Edgewater on River Road. The name of the shop is Handbag & Shoe Doctor. Regarding pleats, most of mines are single reverse but not sure if I have a preference.

I don’t know that much about bow ties except for black tie. But I asked my mentor as he wears them a lot and he said he gets his from Nordstrom. The tie brands that I wear don’t make bow ties, unfortunately.

I cant wait for my Yearn shoes, and yes. I think TLB Mallorca loses to Yearn. Better value for money. If i was in a country with a TLB Mallorca store then id consider it. Nice thing about being in the UK is having access to Arterton Ltd who sells the Yearn shoes. Im not affiliated with it. I had a very good returns experience when returning shoes.

No double breasted in my wardrobe but I'd love to get at least one as part of a suit. On my end, I see more and more grown adults dressed at teenagers it's scary. But I do agree that classicaly dressed men stand out even more because of that. Keep the videos coming my friend

Apple learned a long time ago about planned obsolescence. Products are made to last only so long and then need to be replaced. Keeps the cash flow going. I love double breasted suits. Think they’re elegant if accessorized properly and of course, tailored properly. Reminds me of the great clothes of the Thirties. Great video and look forward to the intro of your watchstraps.

Double breasted to me is something you gotta earn. Not everyone can pull it off. I feel like you would either have to have a strong personality, a special skill/occupation, be older/more mature or be unusually attractive or unusual looking to really pull it off, Otherwise it looks like a costume.
