Need a sequel to the album about rumplestiltskin selling his boogers to an ant colony... i forget what its title is
@musaka2022
@musaka2022 3 жыл бұрын
@@ptrcrispy Its deep, its actually a metaphor for the colonization of space and the ideologies that will supersede post-modernism. Most likely Marxism of an inter-stellar variety. Think of the ants as the proletariat, and Rumplestilskin as the Tiberius like emperor throwing spears (or in this case boogers) at a tickled Neptune.
@musaka2022
@musaka2022 3 жыл бұрын
@@ptrcrispy You're asking for my purely subjective interpretation of Aesops thinking?
@musaka2022
@musaka2022 3 жыл бұрын
@@ptrcrispy Personally, I think Rumplestilstkin is a host body for the spirit world. He goes through multiple possessions, from greed to envy and lust etc, settling with pride as the most humble of the demons. Now society and the ant colony dont really need a more obvious parallel, do they? Rumplestiltskin made a deal with the ants. At least that what the ants think. Boogers are so taboo, the mere menion peaked some sort of disgust in you right? Just like the mention of certain drugs ( say heroin) seem to rile up the public in contrast to whats accepted( say cannabis) The booger it's self is a red herring. It intentionally sounds so childish and playful, you naturally get misconstrued. A true genius concept by Aesop. So simple, like flicking a switch of the listeners mind.

people don't even understand what kind of legend R.A. really is... he's been holding it down for a second... I've been to his show in Amsterdam years ago were even all the dutch kids were able to rap his lyrics word by word... same with J.M.T.... Underground rap will always have its own set of fans, era and movement regardless of what Rick Ross, 2Chainz and lil Wayne are doing at the moment...

The reason artists have to prove themselves before a magazine, blog etc will write about them is because they're looking for hits on their site. If they're writing about relevant artists, they have more chance of having an increase in page hits. It's fucked up that the artists who have less of a buzz don't get a chance to have their albums reviewed or promoted. I can think of plenty of dope EPs and albums by independent rappers that have come out in the last 5 years or so. But the way the mainstream is, everybody's still thinking that "hiphop is dead."
