A credit card's Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is an annualized rate that is applied monthly to unpaid balances. The monthly interest rate is one-twelfth of the APR. THAT MAN WAS CORRECT .

Of course , he used it brain , simple basic thinghs .. if you think about it 👍

No, that's what Vlad was saying. You pay 1/12th of the ANNUAL interest rate of 25%-30%. Vlad wasn't saying that you only pay interest once a year instead of every month just that the 25% is the yearly rate it doesn't compound every month. Unless i'm misunderstanding what you said.
@ColbyCali13 күн бұрын
@@jasonscott7988 Yeah CC interest actually compounds daily, but it's APR/365.25 compounding daily. APR and effective interest rate are different. It's like if your APR is 30%, compounded daily, it's effectively like 35% a year. Either way it is NOT 29% per month. 5 points a week is an APR of .05*52 is 260%, compounded weekly is an effective rate of closer to 1200% a year. It's def not a deal, but a loanshark is the epitome of "lender of last resort" haha.

I just tried to find the movie "FIST" that Joes refering to and all i could find was a trailer on KZbin for F.I.S.T. The description of Stallone's character couldnt possibly be anything other than a Jimmy Hoffa life story. Its ironic though that the closing line in the trailer is "a movie that will be remembered and talked about for years to come". I'm 56 yrs old and grew up around this life and have been researching Cosa Nostra and Hoffa as well as JFK, RFK, MLK, pratically since i was able to pronounce their names and I've never heard of this movie!! Credit cards interest rates are compounded daily. You are charged a daily rate on your balance every day. Your APR divided by 365 is your daily rate. This is why if you only pay the minimum it will literally take you years to pay it off. Paying your credit card bill on time each month is financially irresponsible. You should always pay on your credit card balance early and whenever you have extra money.
