Nobody ever said that? Talk about always taking it to extremes.. just like you doing now. Where do you think Jews learned it from? Black people. If you don’t get what you want, call them racist! Who’s the only people that complain about some hairstyle being “cultural appropriation”? Who says that anybody that enjoys black music and comments on it or has a KZbin channel on music a “culture vulture”? Look, I know American black peope have been mistreated more than any other people on the planet. So that’s why things have gotten to the way they are. Many don’t know their past and that’s just another terrible thing from slavery. So these things are a defense mechanism. Like claiming your the real Jews, The Olmecs, the native Americans, the real Egyptians, and so on. Nobody is saying you need to forget it and never talk about it. You are taking to extremes. They are saying stop using it as a crutch or an excuse for every person that makes bad choices in their life. Stop giving excuses to the criminals in your community. White folks don’t make excuses for thier methhead criminals. White folks didn’t invent slavery. Black and Arabs sold white people the slaves. Slavery was going on for thousands of years before America was ever getting called America. Yet many pretend only black people were ever slaves, and never had slaves themselves.

He gave that context because he wants to distinguish systematic racism which he does not believe exists vs the biased racism that Ann had. He claims it does not affect him in the long term and its similar to getting your toe hurt, but there is not anything systematically racist that he has experienced that would've oppressed his career or growth simply because of him being indian.
