I agree with black women being unappreciated. When my oldest daughter was 2 and I was 7 months pregnant, being a single mom in a shelter downtown Columbia in sc at 22 years old. The black women opened there arms to me taught me how to cook they taught me how to be a single mom and gave me the confidence I needed to do it. They treated me as if I was part of the family they got onto me when I did something wrong they were never afraid to introduce me to there family or friends. And until this day they make sure I'm okay and my kids. Black women are not as bad as society make them out to be. I can honestly say I don't know where, me and my kids would have ended up if it wasn't for the different black women in mine and my kids life. So to all you black women out there that takes time out your life to help people who ancestors enslaved ur ancestors, I just want to say thank you, cause when y'all help someone you don't do it expecting anything in return, even though y'all deserve so much more.

As a mixed Mexican man, mestizo in a way, It is very true that we are shit on, along with other indigenous groups. Yes, this is true. It's called 'othering' in the universities. As a teacher finishing my training in an middle class school, I taught a whole unit on othering. Finding real world examples to present to the kids was extremely easy. Just open the newspaper!
