Glad didn't mention it, but Slim's dad is a member/founder of 'Rebirth'(one of the biggest jazz bands in New Orleans). After Soulja Slim was killed it seems like New Orleans went quiet. I remember listening to Q93 that night and the next day and callers/djs were stunned. I think I heard Vlad wrong, but, the dude who killed Slim didn't go to prison, however, the streets caught up to him and killed him....
