Vlog 103 Riding My E-Bike on inshore lagoon trails. New PB Snook bends my hook.

There’s some fish in there. You just have to look for them either kayak or ride bike on the bank. I’ve done both. The culvert pipes are the best!

@davidmikitka5674 Surprisingly, I have never had much luck at the culverts. I know guys always say it's good. Just haven't had luck doing it yet 😆 but ya, the key is to keep moving. Tell ya find them. Bike or kayak 😁

Also, if you get brave and you put your kayak in the brackish waterside, I’ve caught some big 2 to 5# tarpon on Topwater in the kayak!!

Bombers are catching some fish. I think gamakatsu size 6 are a good replacement

I usually only bend a bomber hook when I foul hook a fish but cheap lures come with cheap hooks.

@FishingAroundFlorida oh ya. The bomber definitely catches fish. 😁 This was my fault for throwing it without upgrading both hooks. 😫 the hooks it came with are for like bass, we all know a snook hits 10x harder than a bass 😆 Definitely make sure you have heavy-duty hooks, avoid the heartbreaker of a big fish bending the hook. I'm still losing sleep over it 😆 jk

@FishingAroundFlorida ya, I think most of the bomber hooks will be ok. This was the smaller 3" bomber lure. The hooks were definitely thin and light. Lighter than the ones that are bigger, at least.. good point... it could have been foul hooked...then again I watched it suck that lure in right on the shore. A.giant mouth opened up, and the lure was gone, and that fish ran like a freight train. Hold on, lol. I was using my lighter setup to. 3000 reel on a medium fast rod. 10 pound braid with 20 fluorocarbon leaders. So was surprised it was the hook that bent before the line 😆 But ya. Love the movement of that bomber

Uh guys. I'm not dead yet so shouldn't I be getting credit for the cheapskate Walmart bomber lure find. I take 10 or 20 to the glades every year. I just take my losses with bent hooks. I twist them back a few times until they break off. Then I replace the lure with another $3.50 cheap chartreuse bomber and get back to fishing

You start this trend🫵 😆 I'll give ya a shout out next time I use it😉 Bomber better work a deal with you...your the reason for the increase in sales 😆 I have a tool that makes switching hooks easy. I usually just do it. You can see in the video I put an inline k on the back. I'm not sure why I didn't replace the small front treble hook. Silly me 😆
