Kerry! I get your a racer. My love is in this type of cycling (bikepacking). It would be awesome if you did more content like this. With more shots of water filtration. Cooking. And camping.

Very cool! I've got a week in SLC at the end of May (also visiting fam), and this looks like something I might have to sneak away and at least ride a part of.

That's a good idea. It'll be hard to make it though. There is a strong urge to stop and look at every vista, which is every couple feet!

Dear sir: I am about to take off on an bikepacking trip tonight. I will be in the dirt tonight in a tent. In the AM, I plan to summit blue mountain in Grand Terrace. You can literally google blue mountain in grand terrace california and see the summit I plan to do in the morning. I will be base camping tonight, and leave my pack at base. Cheers. I am going to have soooo much fun! I don't bring stoves. I soak my food and eat my food. : ) cheers.

Great video. We are going to do this in october. Where exactly did you park your car?

Henrike Steiner we parked at the Shaffer canyon overlook. Make sure you pay all your permits. Backcountry permit, park entry permit, there is probably another one too...

@@KDubzDidWhat thanks for the advice. we have already reserved the campgrounds. 1. airport and 2. potatoe bottom, not our first choice but all the others were booked out within seconds after they opened the system. so I guess we ll have to park at mineral bottom in order to make some miles the first day;) where did you get the other permits (backcountry permit and park entry)? and do you have recommendations for a good water filter system?
