Hi Haley, don’t over think the test. It’s based on control and safety rather than finesse. Just be mindful of that left mirror when entering a roundabout from the right hand lane. Check before you move off onto the roundabout or if your rolling check before you speed up. Check it again before steering left once you join the roundabout. Failing to check can be serious if it’s narrow or you haven’t checked before moving away, even if it’s clear. Just remember that missing mirrors before changing direction is much higher risk than before signalling. With your making progress, just remember that car drivers get fed up stuck behind a truck doing 50mph on a single carriageway so if we drop to let’s say 45mph it increases frustration and usually results in them overtaking in anger. If you pull up and block a drive way it will usually result in a driver fault being recorded but if someone then appears and wants to turn in to it , a serious would be recorded. Only time you can block a drive is when told that it’s ok when you complete the controlled stop. Thanks for the sharing your experience.

Hayley, I love this video. we're seeing a happier Hayley today. Great job! Camera positions really nice, and nice drive today! Gears are getting there, and a very supportive instructor. I also understand now the economical sense of the wag and drag. Thank you so much for putting this together for us to watch and learn.

Mind gears and steers, examiners don't like the steering wheel turning as your changing gear. Always used to say,if you stationary for more than 5 sexonds, slap the hand brake on,and mirrors, you can check them enough, and always exaggerate your head movements. As an ex DSA RTITB Instructor, cracking drive.

That instructor is well on the ball lol, don't think she would miss anything. She has the mannerism of ex Police. I think I would just say yes to everything she says lol, she wasn't going to loose on the bus stop was she haha

I think this must be the very best vlog you've done, Hayley. Really interesting, and such an excellent lady instructor. The other thing is the sound is much better on this one, much clearer. It was hard to hear some of what Billy was saying in the previous vlogs. That's not to say he wasn't just as good. The combined efforts of the instructors seem to have you look very confident and competent in your driving. The reversing exercises seemed much smoother. I was quite surprised some of the places you went through. Quite residential I thought for artics. I actually agreed with you about the 'bus stop' incident. I'll have to look at it again. But I'm sure the instructor will know, she's doubtless done it dozens of times. I found the whole thing very informative. And it's by far the best presentation of a training session I've seen on KZbin. In fact I think yours are the only ones. Loads of the exercise ones (being demonstrated), but not the actual live sessions. Well done Billy Thomas for letting you film them. Much good may it do his business. 👍

Fran's very business like out on the road she seemed to keep you hard at it in this one. It strikes me that reversing this wagon and drag combination could be harder than the artic because you see more of the trailer with the artic whereas the trailer here is at times completely obscured by the drawbar unit. Keep at it Haley onward and so forth.

Hi Haley, why did you choose to learn on a Wagon and Drag? I thought you were going to drive Artics, I drove a Wagon and Drag 55 years ago, an Artic is much easier to drive. Good luck with your test etc. Regards from Ray the old sod from North Wales.

Great work, I think a second instructor after a few days is a good method, reduces familiarity, (you maybe anticipating Billy's instructions by his body language?), adds a second eye, and prepares you for the test. Fran has a more strict manner, but introduces friendly chat, very professional. Good little test on the refuel, a little spanner in the works maybe, nice edit though, rearview camera, and clip size is great. All the best with your test Hayley. Best regards from the Black Country. John.

29:44 I reckon she might have wanted you to stop right after the *exit*, before you passed the red mota on your right at 29:55 That's probably what was in her head and considered suitable. I'd pay attention to this road on test day if you're asked to drive up it. In Day 2 video, in Billy's head he wanted you to stop earlier on this same road, before the *exit* in that instance and on the right hand bend in the road. From what I can see in your videos, when they ask you to stop safely, you can probably do so within about 10 seconds of them asking, including on a right hand bend Yup, this is confirmed at 51:40. The examiner is reading the road as far as the eye can see. They've spotted somewhere safe to stop before they've said it pretty much. So unless something changes in the road layout, it is probably safe to prepare to stop immediately. Besides that, yer looking at a pass I think, minus stopping over the line on the island at 56:20, but sods law that is
