I noticecd that Anna put her bag away from her. Though snatch thieves are rare here, it is best you keep your handbag within reach. Just to be on the safe side.

The drink you had was pronounced in Cantonese, which literally means “8 treasures” is a traditional Chinese drink because it was made by boiling 8 ingredients like dried longan, rose buds, chrysanthemums, Chinese dates (dried jujube), goji berries, ginseng slices, rock sugar and tea.

I like how you guys already make it a standard procedure to stir your drinks thoroughly before consuming it, that's very local. By the way, the big ones are called yellow noodles here in Malaysia, and the thinner one is vermicelli. Enjoy!😂😂😂

Thanks Nick, we do what we be told and they tell us to stir in food and drink 🙏🙏

You should try another lighter breakfast but very popular, kaya toast with half boiled eggs. Put some pepper and black soy sauce in the eggs before you dip the toast in it. For lunch or dinner, you must try Penang's famous nasi kandar. It comes with lots of different curry sauces but you tell the worker to put sauces that are not spicy and they will choose the less spicy ones.

Peng is ice in Hokkien. Hokkien is largely spoken in Penang and northern Malaysia. Cantonese is mostly used from Ipoh to KL. Hokkien to the south again.

Great video. I am so glad that you liked our Penang Pat Poh drink. Another local favorite drink amongst Penangites is the Ambla With Sour Plum Drink (it's a green-colored fruit blended and refreshing). Try ordering it at our local coffee shops. Cheers.

Those noodles @Penang Laksa"are a mixture of yellow mee+ white thin "vermicelli"(made fr rice+flour). The spicy Laksa has many versions of taste; spicy to sour...to enjoy eating during hot weather! Fabuliciously hot stuff!
