I love this idea. Your parents have so much wisdom and experience to share as well you plus it would give you quality time together sharing a common project. I love the Joyce Meyer podcast/KZbin platform called, “Talk it Out”. If you are not familiar they have a panel of several ladies and sometimes Joyce. They are different ages and have different life situations. They talk it out by primarily sharing personal stories of what they are working through or have worked through in the past with an emphasis of we are a work in progress continually learning as life stages change and new situations present themselves.

@@blasiomuhinda5913 I’ve been where these women are and also understand your question… the hardest part a lot of times is that marriages CAN be healed and the issues don’t have to be terrible but if both partners aren’t working toward the same thing it like her dad said, 50, 60 years of pain isn’t worth it. If both spouses truly want it to work IT CAN even in bad situations. In mine even with some pretty bad issues I was willing to try and my ex simply wasn’t!

The conversation that you had with your parents hit hard. I LOVE that your parents are supportive. Although I took initiative to end the relationship bcz there was cheating, verbal abuse and towards the end physical abuse my parents pointed fingers at me. It was my fault, I didn’t work hard enough, am not thinking about our kids. and they tried to get us back together. They made me feel horrible for leaving my ex. I wish they would have been understanding because I had no one to lean on for the most part. It was just me and my kids. From time to time I would talk to my aunt or a friend, but I felt like I was burden so I kept it to myself. You are blessed!

It is awesome that you have your parents' support. I love what your parents said. I received very strong support from my parents, but also from my minister at church when I was a young person going through a divorce. He reminded me that just because someone else broke their vows to me does not mean I broke my marriage vows, even though I was going through a divorce. That made me feel so much better at the time, and now I am reminded of that support and how that lifted me up so that I could move forward in my life and in my relationships. Thank you for reminding people that we can talk about marriage, divorce, changes in life and not be judged even if we are in different places in life, but we can all support each other in whatever "season of life" we find ourselves.

Oh wow. I have incredible parents and while my marriage is in a rough patch (2 years of financial exhaustion + being first time parents to a 15 month old) we're ok. Still, your parents' messages made me cry. I think mostly because there are so many people who don't have support and it made me emotional to think that my daughter could go through a season like this. The reality is that most people experience a hard break up in their life and it hit me like a truck that she could experience this. Woah, taking in what your parents say and storing it away

The thing about divorce is, if one person wants out or stops trying, there is no resolution, so in your situation, you did everything you could, but it wasn't enough, you were trying to fill up a cup that had no bottom

I was thinking the same thing. More and more it seems that she was the only one in the marriage and that will never work. I'm glad to hear her starting to except that she did what she could but didn't have a partner who was as committed to the marriage. You can't change people, make them love you.

@@rnjedilaura totally, I feel like initially she probably felt like, oh if I had done this differently or thar, we could have made it work, but like a, marriage, a divorce isn't something that happens over night, it builds and builds, and when one person in the marriage sees divorce as an option instead of trying to work it out, there is no hope

I love the relationship you have between you and your parents. It's amazing how supportive and affectionate you all are. I'm pregnant right now and never had a relationship like that with my parents. I was wondering if there was anything you could share about how you are so close to them, because I'd love to have that relationship with my daughter. ❤ Take care Michel!

I loved your hair in the beginning of the vlog. Your parents are great. Your dad made me cry. He is so wise and sweet.

just got to the part where you sit down to chat with your parents and i love how much more comfortable they've grown to being on camera with you over the years!

Michel, your parents are such a breath of fresh air! How blessed you are to not only have your parents together, but both of them are incredibly supportive and have such a good head on their shoulders! You are so strong and it's beautiful to see. This is random, but if you see this comment, would you mind mentioning the restaurants you try in your vlogs or in the description...I live about 45 minutes away and the food looks amazing!

I really enjoyed this chat with your parents and their perspective on Divorce, dating etc. I can see where you get your life values they are just so grounded and amazing. Divorce is horrible, however, we all have seasons and people in our lives and Brook was part of your season. You have really blossomed since moving back home. So Hello Friend how are ya!!!!!! I just feel so amazing when you greet us in the vlog❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Your parents were spot on about staying in a relationship just because you think you have to be there; I am 71 and have been married for the past 23 years and only been happy for the first 2 years. GREAT ADVISE LIFE IS TOO SHORT!!!!!!! A major must is to have your partner share your religious beliefs to have a firm foundation

You have such lovely parents...both with beautiful smiles. At 64 almost 65...in March...I still miss my parents...lived with them 34 years. They were my best friends. In hindsight I wish I had stayed single...some of us are just not meant to be married. Meaning myself...I would not say that for anyone else. Everyone knows best for themselves. My married joy was in having my son...such a good little boy...times have changed and we don't get along like I would love to...but have a deep mothers love for him always. Maybe when he is older and sowed his wild oats...😯 I'm so tired and longing for my heavenly home...what a joy that will be.😊
