I am from India..we apply henna here on a regular basis..like once in a month or so. One thing I would like to add is that.. After applying henna you are supposed to wash your hair with water only. And then do a hot oil massage and leave it overnight. Shampoo in the morning. This is because henna tend to leave your strands dry and little brittle. So oiling..locks in the moisture. Hope this helps someone 🙂

Im from India , and this is just heena , here everyone from every age group uses this . This is like the staple hair mask for us . Only thing is we make it from the scratch . Add eggs , yoghurt and essential oils . Plus , it is best applied to pre-oiled hairs , if you don't have oily hair , and do not shampoo while rinsing it off , conditioner can be used , best is to just rinse it off with water , and then oil again after air drying , then shampoo it the next day .
@karendrives9703 жыл бұрын
That's why Henna Sooq recommends their cowash. It really is just a conditioner with a little surfactant abilities as all conditioners do.
@saskia....3 жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that pre-oiling your hair prevents anything from penetrating your hair. Is that true?
@saskia....3 жыл бұрын
Also, how often should you use this or moisturize your hair? I have been using henna for years but my hair is so dry. I love the color but my hair doesn’t look too healthy.
@gayatreepanda25203 жыл бұрын
@@saskia.... no it is not . Hairs have keratin . So does your skin . Won't your skin absorb anything if you apply oil , or any cream / moisturizer over it ?? Same phenomenon . Pre-oiled hairs work best for heena , you also get the colour .
@gayatreepanda25203 жыл бұрын
@@saskia.... hey , if you get dry hairs after heena , mix yoghurt and eggs with the mixture . Also you can make thr mixture with raw non skimmed milk , if you are allergic to yoghurt . Add castor / olive oil 2-3 tsp to the mixture if you want to skip the egg part .
