So glad to hear you reiterate this! The misinformation keeps spreading and spreading. I just saw an ad yesterday that was like a comparison checklist with bakuchiol on one side and retinol on the other. They even went so far as to use green check marks for the bakuchiol descriptions and red x’s for the retinol descriptions! I was so shocked that they could do this with no evidence to actually support what they were claiming. As always thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I’m a huge fan of museums in general (any kind), but rarely get to go to any these days, so I’m greatly appreciative of the fabulous museum footage! Glad to see you guys got some rain in Texas. It has been mighty hot & dry in Tennessee as well, but we were thrilled for Friday’s rain here. Happy Saturday!😇👍🌦🌻🌺🌻🌺

The more I hear you provide information and give your credentials, the more I admire your work. The effort you put into explaining, in a simple way, everything from illnesses to sunscreen, is impressive. It reminds me of what Richard Feynman said about people who really know a subject. I am so over all of the makeup people giving advice that borders on trying to sound like a physician. The latest fiasco was an over 50 makeup person going on about sunscreen getting into the blood stream, so she doesn't wear sunscreen all the time. She's been reading studies online about this since 2018...so she's got to be an expert. God save us from people like her on the internet. Thank you so much for your considered opinion and advice. 😃

Thanks for the museum trip, it was amazing! Beautiful paintings and gold and silver pieces and very interesting history. We recently added a roundabout here where I live in a small place in Nova Scotia(Cape Breton), and people aren't used to them yet, even though it is supposed to be very good for traffic in a city. I loved the cherry sweater and the blue eyeliner! I will look for some to wear now, too! Haha...you Influenced me.

I'm a dental assistant, 15 years experience, I worked with a Periodontist. No, those "special gingiva or gum toothpaste" are a lie. They have nothing different from the regular toothpaste. Gum tissue does not grow back. It can heal from small amount of trauma but if the trauma in the same spot continues for example brushing to hard, it causes recession. Bone loss, gum disease , loose teeth, bad breath are all connected. Its best to get a professional dental cleaning every 6months. Brush and gloss 2x a day, and if possible after lunch. If you have gum recession see a Periodontist and you might be able to get perio surgery. They can take tissue from the roof of your mouth or donor tissue.

Great advice Dr Dray. Keep experimenting with retinoids until we find the one that works for us. My skin did not tolerate retinol well, it was constantly irritated. Same with retinaldehyde plus that turned my skin more of a yellow tone. Differin was the best over the counter for me surprisingly. However I'm thrilled that I was finally able to get a hold of tretinoin, and it's better than any of the others for my skin. I use .025 percent gel over moisturizer. However now that I'm using tret, my skin is doing well but it can't tolerate acids including ascorbic acid. So I use the inky list bakuchiol as a replacement for my vitamin C, and my skin is the best it's ever been.

Hey Dr Dray! I also swim whenever I have time 🏊‍♀️ It’s really refreshing and I love that you get less pressure on the joints. You get into some kind of zen mode when you float and relax in water aswell. Whenever I do regular breastswim strokes, I don’t dive, I keep my head up and focus my eyes on the shining water, sometimes I lose time just swimming. Today I swam for 1,5h , I remember thats about the time it takes to do 2km if you don’t do micro pauses. But since I did I have no idea how far I swam. No need to overdo it though, I had so much energy I totally went all out! It was nice but now I am exhausted so maybe I should limit the time. It’s not for how long you work out that helps you keep in good shape and health, it is how often you work out spread out during the weekdays 🤔 30 min swim is pretty nice too. * Just rambling* I really enjoyed the video but got side tracked with the swim thought, hehe! I think you have done a video about how exercise is good for the skin (If I am not mistaken) it’s a nice subject❤️👏

I love this one serum with bakuchiol + 5% niacinamide, but I only use it for the niacinamide. since niacinamide has more studies, I'm sure the benefits I'm getting are mostly from the niacinamide, because it does help with my rosacea and hyperpigmentation as well as reducing oil production. but it doesn't give that skin-firming effect that I get from retinol, so I would never replace retinol with bakuchiol. it's a good antioxidant, but I'm tired of the misleading claims and marketing around it, especially the whole "natural, safer alternative to retinol" gimmick.

I use mostly Lancôme Effacil Eye makeup remover. It won’t burn your eyes. It’s not good to ‘rub’ the delicate eye area, but let the pad sit on the eye for a short time, then try gently removing. After that, I use Bioderma Micellar water on a pad to gently clean off the residual oil and any residue left behind. Your eye area should be perfectly clean after that. I then go ahead with all over face cleansing. (Note: If I’m wearing false lashes w/glue or heavier mascara, the Chanel eye makeup remover is amazing!! However, it’s about $37 at Macy’s or Nordstrom. It’s gentle, yet extremely effective.)

I have a (garden pavilion / garden room), with thermal glass, which I spend a lot of time in, it is 28c / 82.8f. But I can open the door and ventilation so that the temperature drops. Nice place to get warm from March to October, except when it rains so it drums on the roof! The weather is nice here today What temperatures do you have indoors and what are your favorite temperatures? Thank you for this vlog ❤

Yes I have tried the CeraVe eye makeup remover. It did turn my eyes red but it was likely user error in that I got some in my eye my mistake. Next time I will be more careful to keep my eyes shut tight. I really enjoyed the milky consistency, lack of scent and it worked well. The balm is fantastic too. I like it much better than the Clinique I’ve been using, which is too hard. The balm melted into an oil like consistency. And it did smell like butter hahah! 🧈 😆 Also I agree the tub could be bigger and/or they could include a paddle for scooping. Love CeraVe 💕 but you are right about the packaging, including the child proof cap. Happy Saturday 🌺

It is just like hanging out with a really smart friend. Laughing out loud about the roundabout! Yes, I always feel like I take my life in my hands when on one. Love the museum. So informative came for information about bakuchiol. Thank you!

I find the hada labo oil cleanser does a great job breaking up eye makeup when followed by the second cleanse. I just use my fingers.

Yes there are roundabouts in Spartanburg South Carolina for sure and in some residential subdivisions in my area. No stop signs and why did you ever leave, I need a really good dermatologist here.😊

Retinoids gave me dry eye and issues wearing contacts. Since cutting back and alternating with bakuchiol, my eyes have improved. I understand I should keep retinoids away from the eye but that area ages quickly so i'm hoping bakuchiol near the eyes (no irritation so far) will still offer benefit

We need rain here in Canada Ontario so badly. 1st of all for our wonderful farmers then for use backyard gardeners my rain barrels are dry. My tomatoes 🍅 and brussel sprouts, peppers, potatoes 🥔 enjoy rain water so much more then tape water 💦 my water bill likes it better. My mom always said thunder bumper storm. We have a nice museum in our city. The book they have of the city I live in has my grandfather in it. He had a foundry here it was a spot that everyone either heard of but mostly went to see his many things he made. His ponies and donkeys were a hit and famous for being in the Santa Claus parade each year.

It would be interesting to see examples of filters and no filters. I don't think I'm very good at noticing filters. Unless it's on someone I already know well in person.

It really *does* make a big difference in taste! I struggle to make/take the time to do that all the time. It's not much more though if you're using a French press everyday though.
