I remember coming across Dr Dray's channel in November 2018. I remember it well as I was recovering from a nasty chest infection and was laid up in bed. Running out of makeup videos to watch, I started watching your videos. My biggest takeaway from these was to have a simple skincare routine which incorporated sunscreen. I streamlined my products and developed a routine based on your principles etc. Nearly 4 years later I can say with confidence that I have good skin. Thank you.

I am 65yrs old and my favorite memories of summer as a child is swimming. I loved it then and I love it now. Aqua aerobic classes are sooo great. No sweating and I get a great workout 3 to 4 days a week. PLUS no stress on these old joints. So I can definitely relate to how you feel after a little “aqua” therapy. Great for the body and mind.

Years ago i got into swimming every other day at the gym; always liked being in the water but was frustrated at my inability to swim fast or confidently, so i pushed myself. It got addictive (in a good way) but a great side effect was that it eliminated my migraines. More than any other exercise, swimming engages so many muscle groups and requires coordination of all of them simultaneously WITH breathing (since water demands an alertness to your access to oxygen). I got to the point of being able to swim a kilometer nonstop, but not solely because my muscles were stronger, but bec i could coordinate all that muscle work with breathing efficiently. That total-body workout is i think why we feel so satiated after a swim.

those pool birdcages are excellent for keeping the pool clean, and protect the neighborhood wandering children from falling in, too. However they are very expensive. For us, it was worth the additional expense.
@sable71142 жыл бұрын
They are definitely worth it. Years ago I worked at a building that had almost every type of profession you could think of in it to include teachers for learning disabled in autistic children and other special needs children. The building sat right in the middle of a residential community out in a rural area and one of the kids somehow made his way to the pool and luckily the teacher realize a child was missing and he was in the pool and she jumped in after him but could not swim. She just felt so responsible when I think the homeowner should have been responsible and don't worry, they both survived, others came to the rescue but given the fact that they were located next to this facility and many people had pools in the area, the covers or at least a good fence should have been a requirement.

I LOVE the Kose Softymo deep cleansing oil, and prefer it a lot over the Kose Softymo speedy cleansing oil. They both do a comparable, fantastic job removing sunscreen and makeup, but the speedy oil irritates my eyes. I do realize not everyone opens their eyes during an oil cleanse, but I do!! It's satisfying, but I can also focus on drier areas of skin to exfoliate. The deep cleansing oil can get directly in my eyes with no irritation. The AOA studio skin with green tea and vit E cleansing balm is my second favorite (Kose deep clean is #1), it feels so nice, cleans well, and doesn't cause eye irritation either. I use the speedy oil on my body just to use it up because it's still fantastic, I just won't bother with the irritation. It's lasted a long time just using on arms and legs! It's good for shaving, though I prefer a very specific Tree Hut shave oil. All of these cleansing oils are top notch and very affordable! I don't know how I ever managed without a double cleanse (lol I actually just used makeup remover/micellar water to remove SPF and makeup prior) because it is such a small, but hugely enjoyable and relaxing part of my daily routine. It keeps my pores and skin so clean, but the massage and skin flake removal is hard to beat for self-care!

Re Revlon, I did not know it was filing for bankruptcy. You are so right, Revlon was iconic and a top brand in beauty for decades. They had beautiful models for their campaigns. Suzy Parker and her older sister Dorian Leigh were early stars. Lauren Hutton made hx by snagging the 1st million dollar contract. Ashley Graham was the most recent Revlon 'face'. Revlon had award winning ads with star photographers like Richard Avedon. 'Fire & Ice' most well-known lip/nail ad ever. I may invest in one of those pool kickboards, they look like huge gardening knee pads. Great show with lots of variety. I liked the musings on the lost childhood concept of 'fun'.

So, those bird-cage like things to cover the pools. In Florida it rarely snows, and when it does it's not a large amount. However, when it does snow in Huston, it can be pretty heavy amounts and the roofs of those cages just don't hold up under the weight of the snow. They collapse. So, while it would be nice, they aren't practical in a place with any amount of snowfall. This is what I was told when I asked about having one installed here in the mid-west.

You look so pretty in the tomato red tee & green swimsuit! 😍 I remember your vow from a few years back about gray clothing.

This was a fun video! I'm the same way about the pool, I don't want to get out either. Lol... Sometimes, as we get older, we just have to make time to have fun! Happens every time we go in a book store! I don't know why but we turn into kids again, I love it! Anyway, I loved the video, thanks for sharing with us!

Happy Sunday Dr.Dray. XY & Z and work are always getting into my fun zone. I work 12 hr contental shift work so on my 2 days off I get all my house & garden stuff done. On the weekends that I'm off we enjoy our trailer 😎. But still have gardening and lawn work at the trailer as well. But I do that as soon as we get here. Then 🏊♀️ 👙, reading 📚, horse back riding, going to our huge St Jacob's Market or just sitting under my big 🌳 and enjoy watching 👀 the 🐦 and the 🐝 jump around in the birdbath garden. Then enjoy me some Dr Dray videos.

Yes, where I live (Sacramento) is getting hotter and drier every year. My native Seattle is getting warmer & wetter each year. Implications, for sure.

A close DUPE for the CERAVE HEALING OINTMENT is the MARY KAY EXTRA EMOLLIENT NIGHT CREAM. I dont think it has the same ingredients but it feels just like the cerave. I used the Mary Kay one for years until I saw the one of your videos and i switched. VERY SIMILAR PRODUCTS!

Try the MUJI cleansing oil too! There are two variants, choose the clearer one, the other is kinda yellowish and it’s a bit heavier.

Just revisited this video and learned something new, I didn't realize it would help with my subasious pores I get on my nose but I do use Haba Laba oil skin cleanser...apply only to dry skin people. It does help with Tretinoin dryness I get around my lip/chin area. So, Thanks again, Love ❤

Yes yes!! So great to take advantage of the pool! I’ve noticed you look more relaxed when you do, also you get very talkative and I like it! Always like hearing what you have to say! I recently got the CeraVa Healing Ointment. I’m kind of liking it so far. Deff a great try for anyone thinking of grabbing it. Deff been body slugging with it. Reminds me, I need to find a razor that’s good for shaving arms and legs. Still not satisfied with the one I have. Really been thinking about that retinol video. Makes me want to try more stuff that is out there. Love ya Dr Dray!!!

Love that kettle! It's very quick to come to temp too. :) I use the Aquation Retinol body cream and it's lovely. It's almost a gel-cream, very light but hydrating without feeling heavy or greasy. I really want to try the collagen formula too! :) Yes! When I get a lash in my eye, it always seems to be while I'm driving. Arghhh... It is sad that Revlon is struggling. The bankruptcy also involves Almay as they are both owned by the same company.
